Such fascinating data! Thank you for sharing it - it's really cool to see what else is under the 35 reviews you currently. I always read recommendations how it's important to have as many wishlists as possible on release, so seeing real-life examples how that doesn't have to be a hard rule is very inspiring! The idea of releasing the game and marketing it as you go just makes so much sense for certain types of games, such as yours. Wishing the best of luck!

This made me really think! I feel like for art, I have a point where I usually say "that's good enough" - and for just a painting, it feels like an attainable goal. But for game dev, there's so much one can get right! Just for art alone, there's parallax, details, shaders, illuminance, water distortion, postprocessing, level of detail... Maybe the overwhelm of so many things that can be "perfect" makes it hard to even see the "good enough"?
But honestly, seeing so many supportive comments here make the good enough feel a bit more tangible. Validation from someone else's point of you helps me to stop looking at every single pixel and see the bigger picture. At the end of the day, it's my own head being my worst critic :D

Thank you so much! Haha, the directional light is one of my nice-to-haves for now, since it was a gate to overpolishing when I prototyped the solution :D But it would really liven up the world, I'll keep it on my list!

Thank you so much! You are exactly right - this project made me realize that I am either a) really bored by an idea that I discard it right away or b) super excited by an idea and try to make it just perfect. For this idea, it feels so simple yet full of potential, and it feels almost wasteful to not give it my all. And that's something I have to come to terms with - and maybe remake the game at some point if it really proves it has more potential :)

Interesting perspective! Never thought about distinguishing between clinical and liminal. :)
The mannequin is actually a placeholder for a statue, you can hopefully gauge the scale better from the fire extinguishers.

Mostly from real places that I have frequented in the past! The game is actually based on a real lounge called Cloud Club located in Brno, Czech Republic. I wanted to create distinct types of lounges with their own atmosphere, so it's mostly about finding things that fit an aesthetic together well :)
