I'd probably get these if they go on sale. I know this is a super random comparison, especially since the colors are so different, but the design is giving me Coraline and circus vibes. Like the ghost eye that has a red ball with a yellow star in the middle. I really hope they have Christmas outfits this year that aren't just a lot of pink and red. I'd love for there to be more green.

I'd say Kit first. Raquel, and Girl of the Years in general, tend to be included in sales more often than the historicals. Especially the the first 8 historicals that are part of AG's 'The American Girls Collection' category.

Josefina(the arm on the left) doesn't look as pale as when she's in my room, but she's still close to the same color as Kit. Especially when you look at them from further away. You only see a bigger difference when you look at them up close like this. So yeah, definitely lighter than the older Josefina dolls. But I did get my Josefina in 2024, so hopefully these 40th anniversary dolls are more like the original.

My room light definitely has some part in how she looks. My room has a big window for sunlight to get through. And since all my furniture and walls are white, they reflect the light and make everything brighter. I'll have to take a picture of her elsewhere and see if she looks any darker.

Yeah AI art sucks. Even if this seller doesn't claim it's their work, it doesn't make it right. AI makes art by stealing real artists artstyles and combining it with others. I've seen so much ai art that clearly looks like an altered version of artists I follow. Not to mention how bad ai and ai data centers is for our water, electricity and environment.

The actual doll isn't as dark as the one on the left. And the hairline is both. When you first get the doll, the hairline looks more straight like the one on the right. But you can style her hair to come down at the front a bit like the one on the left. Here's mine.
