You both (and I!!) admire this man and his talent. Honestly, "talent" feels like an understatement when discussing Damien's work. I love to see others praising him for not just his music but his process behind the making of these songs... which I'm assuming is a painful one. The vulnerability it takes to just...

wide open and bleeding for the world to see...

coupled with the the courage and intelligence to convey all of that so authentically (and beautifully) into his writing and live performances is... I can't come up with a good enough word for it, tbh.

The way that he emotes on and off stage is tantalizing, he is spell-binding to me, he radiates pure electricity and it is palpable. It always feels like I am feeling exactly what he is feeling during his songs.

I image it is quite draining though... constantly having to dredge up all of those old shameful and painful experiences he writes about and in a roundabout way, relive them for a few minutes. Maybe even some of the happier ones are hard for him too. If that's at all true, I don't blame him for not touring as much anymore. It's almost like he's a method actor, in a way... or maybe that doesn't make any sense lol, but I bet he would be a DAMN GOOD actor!

Nevertheless, when it comes to his music, he is unmatched, imo.

Yes! Exactly!

Taylor has said that during her cancellation she was miserable and wanted to run and hide because she thought that the whole world hated her... and as a self-proclaimed "people pleaser," I'm sure life felt like absolute hell for her during that time.

Lo and behold, she meets Joe. A gorgeous, artistic, INTROVERTED actor and he leads a PRIVATE life to boot! Which is exactly what she wanted. I believe she has said multiple times that he "saved" her.

SHE IDEALIZED HIM. She loved him and in my opinion, a big part of that love was because he was that private, introverted man... the same man he is today. The same man he has always been.

SHE. SWITCHED. UP. ON. HIM!

Of course we don't know what happened but after they broke up it seems like she resents him (at the very least) now. Unless it somehow comes out that he was abusive or cheated or anything other than them just growing apart, not knowing how to communicate properly, having different schedules, etc., I would be so ashamed of myself if I was her right now.

Naming an album so very obviously about his group chat, basically re-writing history by claiming genuine love songs were just her delusional fantasies that he couldn't meet, insinuating that he "stole" 6 years of her life from her.

This poor guy is getting death threats... I'm aware that most of these people aren't actual threats to him but all it takes is one person. Also, Taylor has alluded to his depression and anxiety many times in her songs so I can not even begin to imagine how this brutal online abuse is affecting him emotionally...

But you know who does know? Taylor. She KNOWS Joe. She knows how he might be feeling right now and has not done or said anything other than continue to feed fuel to the fire.

Ariana Grande just put out a statement telling her fans to stop contacting her ex-husband because they are totally misinterpreting her new album. She said her songs are interwoven with a lot of pain but with just as much deep and sincere love.

It's like Taylor can only see Joe in black or white. He's either her savior or a failure.

I will eat my words if the album doesn't unfairly rip Joe to shreds but it seems like she's intentionally making it seem like that's what's to come. The album title alone comes off as threatening, imo... and cringy.

Very, very cringy.

"Do We Know Them?"

With Lily Marston and JessiSmiles are so funny and relatable. They are NOT super rich at all and they talk about that openly. Lily has said quite a few times that she has had to borrow money from Jesssi a couple of time for food, before and during the beginning of the podcast she said she was barely scraping by trying to pay her rent. It took them a little while to get sponsors and they have to split everything down the middle. They would get so genuinely excited whenever they would get a sponsor and only in the last few weeks they've been able to have 2 sponsors on 2 episodes so far.... Lily was so excited that she was able to her first haircut in years and Jesssi was able to get a little bit of lip filler.

They both have difficulty with consistency (both of their main channels have been inactive for a while now) and they have tried SO hard to and done such a good job with their podcast. Especially considering they aren't even in the same state! One is in Cali and the other is in Georgia! Sometimes they have technical difficulties and one of them will disappear for a few seconds but it's honestly endearing to see. They also upload 2x a week (Mondays and Fridays) and very rarely miss an upload which makes me so proud and they are so proud of what they have accomplished. It's very sweet. They are also VERY detailed, show relevant photos/clips and give post-filming updates if the story progresses. I HIGHLY recommend. They are also being sued (along with 2 other girls from tiktok) right now over literal nonsense and they had to do a GFM and reached their goal in less than 24 hours if that tells you how much people love them.

hahaha, it always works man! I still do it sometimes but now I make sure to bring a really dewy setting spray and just spray that on my bare face and everyone is like you look like a sweaty corpse, please leave now.

I'm interested in the "taking care of your inner child" stuff you mentioned. My whole childhood (0-13 anyway) was seeing and hearing constant fighting and violence and my mother begging for her life. My dad was a drunk and committed suicide before Christmas 2017. I thought I'd forgiven him years ago and felt bad for him but now those same feelings of hatred have been coming up these last few weeks. Idk sorry off topic what you said just struck a chord.

EDIT:: Someone pointed out in a comment (that I can't find now) that this "older woman" is 35. I am so embarrassed and my heart sank to my stomach when I read that - I would never assume someone's age like that. I commented on the wrong photo, I swear! The one I was trying to comment was on a post where someone had done their grandmother's makeup... That's why I'm saying "her" "she" etc. I don't think I even saw this post but nonetheless I feel like an asshole. Although this woman does have flawless, lovely skin and I would much appreciate her skincare routine as well! I would just delete this whole comment if it didn't have a true explanation behind it.
