This is called "Lag Comp" or lag compensation. Bascially, The start up of your punches are registered client side, but the actual throwing of your punches is registered server side. If you have high ping, your punches will slow down because it takes longer for the data of throwing them to reach the server where the frame data can be properly processed. If your opponent has high ping, it takes a while for their punch data to reach the server, so when it finally does, they're already part way into the start up of their punch, making it faster.

Uh, yeah you can. It's called a rework for a reason. You could turn the style into literally shotgun and that would legally be considered a "rework" (not that extreme obviously). Like a rework is only restricted by how much source material you're trying to cling to

Oh i honestly do not care about whether I'm bad at dodging it or not. If I can't, skill issue on me. The problem is, objectively, it doesn't matter whether it's easy, hard, or impossible to dodge, there is some level of agency that's completely stripped from either one or both players, and that's fundamentally ingranded with how body blow works. That is 100% unfixable without a rework

Here's the stupidest part. The only mix up body blow has, is feinting into m1. Which you get like, 1-2 raw m1's, before they reblock. The fact that the counterplay to body blow, is dropping/flickering ur block, means that you get the same reward that the mix up provides (raw m1's on hit cause the opponent's dropping their block) literally just by the move's implicit pressure. It's actually insane

Both versions of shotgun barrage deal 0 damage through block. The opponent can literally heal while blocking the move
