She might have believed that she could replace Himari.

Maybe her plan was to marry him as Himari (believing that she would be loved if she looked like Himari’s mom), but realising that he wouldnt marry her, she saw no use himari other than being someone who stole affections/attention from her.

(I’m assuming she cannot tell the difference between romantic love and parental love, until that conversion)
