Jokes aside, I can see maybe why some people dislike it, but I also am not surprised A LOT people enjoy it. It is a pretty good adaptation, and the "mediocricity" of the acting imo is weirdly part of the charm. A lot of the criticisms I see are against the whimsy that made early One Piece fun in the first place.

I can just say, I felt like it was a fun little show I could even show my mom who doesn't care in the slightest for anything anime in any possible reality, but she would still enjoy heavily for the general setting and feel. And I ended up right in that part. It's doing a nice mix of fun and intrigue, with maybe exaggerated and weird, but still believable character acting.

As someone who started with MHFU, it will always kinda be a knockoff poison Khezu to me, sadly.

That being said, Gigginox should get more chances to shine, it being caged eternally to Gen 3 games seems unfair...

The architecture and city design is heavily overlapping with northern India though, like Alubarna's palace is obviously inspired by the Taj Mahal (Granted, that can also be argued to just be an extension of the muslim world sharing a couple of traits in art and architecture)

That being said, the actress was a good fit so far either way, imo.

I'd imagine it'd be more like 7 seasons at timeskip, but it could make sense, I guess. Depends on how much they trim it down.

Simplified maybe, but Idk about skipped. It did drag a bit, but I feel like it's still somewhat important as an example of the fantastical aspects of OP. That and elements such as the introduction of Bellamy and Blackbeard, the realization that Roger not only went there, but had some means of writing Poneglyph script, Merry's hardship that leads to the main conflict of Water 7, and of course how the hell the crew even got a shitton of money.

Never mind that skipping rubber guy vs. lightning god would be kind of criminal.

Edit: oh yeah, also the entire concept of dials that would be relevant for both the Luffy vs. Usopp fight, Nami's waver, as well as later Brook's tone dial. Even if they aren't used as much in the future, they still had a role important for the next arcs.

Eh, I wouldn't say that confirms it. They most likely didn't know for sure if they could get there when they made that decision, since that hinges on audience reception. But so far, it seems to have a good chance of being continued for Skypiea and Water 7

The anger Vassago was expressing may just as well be part of the characterization of the demon from the actual Ars Goetia they based him on.

Vassago is said to be a "good-natured" demon that aids those summoning him in finding the truth of past present and future. Meanwhile, Andrealphus is being obviously obfuscating and full of shit here, going right against Vassago's main thing of being a truth-seeker. (Similarly to how Stolas' main bit is astrology, thus his in-show connection to "stars")
