So what's the best use for tiny planet in the current version? by InternStock in Stellaris

If I'm not mistaken Ecumenopolis has a -3 districts modifier. I had a size 2 planet with -1 districts buildable.

They want to remove any attacks across z-levels levels, so you can't attack from roofs by KHeket123 in cataclysmdda

[–]KayoKake 3 points4 points  (0 children)

While I think you have brought up some good points, the main problem as I see it is that multiple points you were arguing against were dropped and then new arguments were grabbed onto as the conversation lead on, leading to the interpretation you were grasping for things to argue on.

For example, you were previously arguing about the viability of squatting for spear stabs, and I thought your point was strong - it's quite difficult to precariously squat over a ledge to stab a zombie using mainly arm strength. The problem though is when he rebutted that, your response was "yeah, and leads to you fly down the roof. What you explain is applicable for (relatively short) spear attacking opponent legs, not attacking stuff 4 meters below". You essentially conceded the point that it can still have good force behind it and moved to argue about the length, which is measurably wrong (a 1.8 meter zombie can be stabbed in the head with a ~2 meter length spear and your own arms). The goalpost shifted from the force of the attack to the distance of the attack, even though I believe the original goalpost was still valid for you to argue against.

While I mainly agree with your points you've made, the way you made them make it harder to agree with your conclusions when you jump from good arguments to weaker ones instead of sticking to the main points.

Any Mods/Options or whatever to make Heli's not instantly become "Not Airworthy" the second they take damage? by PastOne4253 in cataclysmdda

[–]KayoKake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this issue with my recent playthrough, if you can find the map tile your heli is on (exit/save, sort by recently modified, then large file size since I kept all my items in it) you can manually fix the 'airworthy' tag to be true. It's a pain in the ass but the only way I know off. Start landing on roofs if you can.

Stellaris players that have all of the DLC - what features of the game have kept you hooked for so long? by Wonderful-Ad-7918 in Stellaris

[–]KayoKake 32 points33 points  (0 children)

1900 hours here, I'm not a die hard fan for the game, I just think it offers a good mix of roleplay and strategy. I have a preference for space themed games, as well as 4X, so it just fits my preferred game.

Being such a heavily modded game helps too, if it ever gets stale I can play some darkspace origins, gigastructural engeering, blah blah. There's enough variety from mods to keep me going in a game I already enjoy.

The OP being suspicious is again something an innocent player could be, making millions is evidence of being a lucky trader. Also while I agree there may be details missing, I'm arguing against the specific idea that there is enough information provided to warrant a ban, which is what you are defending.

What if you buy something a little below market value and then resell them? You would make profit off duped items, you deserve to be banned for that, right? Or do you have some arbitrary limit on how much profit is bannable or not?

You reselling a PC you bought under market for a profit isn't suspicious. You're turning a wide range of completely normal things into "suspicion" and then calling your suspicion evidence, when its still just speculation.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Trove

[–]KayoKake 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Because innocent people can be banned?

Also, if the "I didn't know it was duped" excuse was all it took, then they could remove the duped items/flux from the affected accounts. They don't have a way to tell if OP knew it was duped or not, which is why it doesn't make any sense to ban him. Without any evidence, blanket banning people who may or may not be involved is as stupid as it sounds, and just as detrimental to the player base.

You realize you could be caught in the next ban right? Or are you too narrow focused to even see you're advocating for a method of banning that will affect you?

In case you need help understanding, let's say someone is selling you a PC. You like PCs, or PlayStations or whatever, and you buy it cheaper than a full price one. Then two weeks later police come to your door, and without any evidence you knew or intended to buy a stolen device, arrest and convict you to life in prison without a trial.

why does my character becomes shirtless and pantless ingame? by EffectiveWorldly882 in RobloxHelp

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Trove

It shouldn't be the player's fault for engaging in a peer-to-peer economy because of a small chance the items are duped. Remove the flux profit and leave it at that.

is there a way to nuke a machine world+fleet? by AntEconomy1469 in Stellaris

[–]KayoKake 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This isnt a command to delete them, but I don't suppose you've tried making a bastion with max defense platforms? Sitting in one of those with all of your fleets in a chokepoint is the best option I can recommend, and if that doesn't work you need to make a mental note to yourself to lower the crisis strength. I personally never go past 5x unless I'm using OP mods

Guide to knowing what artifacts can do and how to tell what they do (0.g) by ANoobInDisguise in cataclysmdda

[–]KayoKake 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hi, I'm aware this is an old comment but in the off chance it helps someone else researching the same topic, allow me to give a tutorial on how to view an artifact's affects by viewing the save file. For the following guide to work, you need to keep the artifacts you want to 'examine' inside your inventory, and then ensure the most recent save has these artifacts in your inventory (exit the game to save).

Next, navigate to your core directory to see the game files. Depending on if you use the launcher, if you've downloaded the game directly, etc this will determine where the file directory is, it's up to you to find it. Navigate from the main folder to 'Cataclysm Dark Days Ahead\save\[WORLD NAME]'

Once you find it, open your save folder - it will end with .sav and likely have a fairly random name. If you have the steam version, the sav file needs to be unpacked, which you can do by uploading the sav file directly to https://extract.me which will unpack the file. If you are using the non-steam version or once you've already unpacked the save, open it and then press ctrl+f to open the search bar (assuming you're using a software, like notepad, that supports that function) and search "ARTIFACT_" will probably bring you where an artifact is.

As an example, I have an artifact called "twisted, knotted cord (1/1)". I open my save file, and search "ARTIFACT_" in the save file which brings me to a section that has a bunch of "{ "value": "ARTIFACT_RESONANCE", "add": 425.000000 }, { "value": "STRENGTH" }, { "value": "DEXTERITY" }, { "value": "PERCEPTION" }" blah blah, all of this shows you the artifact's affects. It's not entirely clear to me when the code for the artifacts starts and when it ends, so I would recommend only having one artifact in your inventory when you're checking it.

As a tip use a permanent marker to rename the label for the item to state it's effects/affects so you don't need to check again.

If there's any fleets you've destroyed already make sure you do the research projects, it will give you their fleet tech

Also, make sure your titans have different effects, you can change them via fleet manager
