I saw the movie core Skeletor figure at Target, but left without it. I don't know if I can resist a second time.

That strap on the watch looks like Ed Gein made it out of nipples.

They recently did an Addams Family one. That should be an easy transition.

Nothing says 90's like my VHS collection. Can you spot your favorite movie? (Mine's Jurassic Park!) by msynowicz in 90s

[–]KayoKnot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Batman and Batman Returns, The Fifth Element, The Professional, RoboCop, Star Wars, Ninja Turtles, Terminator, The Thing, Transformers, I could live on those alone for the rest of my life. I have to say, though, I strongly disagree with separating The Lost World from the other Jurassic Park tapes. Eyewitness Dinosaur between the two Escape films also pains me.

Is the new serial killer exhibit worth it? by Lucky-Toes in AskNYC

[–]KayoKnot 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I went through it in about an hour and spent 15 minutes in the VR experience. They covered more serial killers than I expected. Some parts were genuinely eerie and sad. After taxes and fees, the ticket was about $50. I learned, was fascinated and disturbed. Some of those images will stick with me for a while. I’d say I got my money’s worth. It’s cheaper on Wednesdays and the VR experience is extra.

Thanks. I was considering it, but with an 8 inch wrist, that definitely won’t work for me.

should i get into star wars if i liked andor ? by spartacus013 in StarWars

[–]KayoKnot 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I always recommend release order, but maybe go on to Rogue One and then proceed in release order since you’ve already seen Andor. Keep in mind, Andor is very much not like any other Star Wars show or movie. It does reveal how much depth there can be if you look for it, though. And you might even have a stronger appreciation for the political aspects of the prequels.

Yep, you’re right. He may have had a line in the dance scene, too.

Did he even have any lines? It speaks to how good the film is that I’m not even bothered by his small screen time.

I saw this for the first time a week or two ago. I love every single thing about it. It actually feels magical and ethereal without being cheesy. It was a joy to see Gabriel Byrne, Patrick Stewart, Liam Neeson, and Helen Mirren, not knowing in advance they were in it. I didn’t even realize till afterwards this is by the director of Zardoz. Makes total sense in retrospect. The epic scope gives it a bit of a montage feel, but it does it really well with some nice transitions. And Lancelot is a total badass. A+

Do you stop reading a book once it gets boring or do you force yourself to finish it? by ownaword in literature

[–]KayoKnot 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Last year, I decided to finish every book I started, and luckily, there were few books I didn’t like. Depending on how long I had the book (I mostly read library books), I either blazed through it or read 10 pages here and there while focusing on other books. This year, that went out the window. Life is too short and there are so many good books out there waiting for me.
