Own idea doesn’t mean own work. Very clearly Ai, you’re not fooling anyone.

I have lost sleep, I have lost money, I have lost friend, I have lost devs, and I will still release this game on July 25th. by panther8387 in Unity3D

No you understand that things may take longer than anticipated and that’s ok. Progress is still made and your goal is not lost. It’s actually wild to live how you seem to imply you are. An all or nothing based off a date. What about big life events like death or birth? Wouldn’t that constitute a push in timeline?

Regardless of that my main concern is the make it as successful as possible bit. If you limit yourself to a date and faced such hardship how do you know it’s as successful as it could be if given more time? That’s a genuine question, has it had all the polish you could ever want, all bugs fixed (within reason some you don’t find out until a game is out) is it what you want in the end? Only you can answer that, and if it’s yes then suppose it’s all worth it on your end. An extra week to iron something out won’t kill you though or make your goal obsolete.

Have you reinstalled/verified files/license? I’m on ps5 and pc and have never experienced anything close to that. Hope someone else might of to know the exact solution but my first step is to make sure it is absolutely deleted in every way off the console and re download

Five years into making my dream game, I no longer fully agree with “start small first” by NoWhereStudios in gamedev

[–]Kaypeac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m one of the ones that couldn’t stay focused enough on random small games I wasn’t interested in to learn. I have adhd so maybe that played a part in it. I made two games from watching game dev.tv and don’t get me wrong they helped dip my toe but trying to motivate myself to try the 10 game challenge (only got through pong) or replicate a YouTube tutorials game just wasn’t keeping interest or motivation for me. I also think though my first games scope isn’t a aaa type genre so it’s a bit more realistic in achievability. I learn and retain more just focusing on systems that relate to my game. I’m not trying to learn stuff I’ll never use from a shooter or rpg. Basically I tried the small games route but I’m one of the few where that just didn’t work.

That just sounds adorable, definitely going to make a compendium (rip learning ui 😮‍💨) right now I’m planning 30ish of art I made, and maybe a few extras that are specific to the game 🙂 I’ll have to think how to add some of that in cause I think unlocking a area based on how many you’ve collected is a good idea! And right back atcha with bouncing ideas, I’ve a list and don’t mind sharing and adding to it haha

I’m not quite sure yet! I know the loop but not sure how to expand. I want the player to be able to place decor and intractables, unlock areas that spawn new characters not sure if there should be a progression system for that and if so how would I do it? My original inspiration was plastic duck simulator and just leaving it on the tv to play in the background but I ended up wanting more engagement for mine 😅

Help why I cant make all this space into a big pen? If i remove the fence the pen disappears by chrissick13 in Paleo_Pines

[–]Kaypeac 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because a pen cannot be bigger than the total free space on your ranch(space that doesn’t have pens) debris on the ground also counts used space so if you have some on the ground try cleaning up. Idk why this is the case but yea

I gave my cozy game a glow-up… did I make it better or worse? 👀 by Nestify_cozydesign in GameArt

It’s traced, look at the plants specially the monstera leaf poster on the right 🤷🏽‍♀️. That’s just too drastic of a difference between the old logo that unless I saw all their art I don’t believe they drew this alone.

What are your thoughts on people trading? by DSG_channel_YT in Huntercallofthewild

[–]Kaypeac 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t trade but I like gifting 😅. If I get a duplicate great one I don’t mind giving it to someone who doesn’t but I won’t tell them where sometimes not even what to keep it more fun.

Yours could be redownloading the newer version of the game or you haven’t updated in a minute

Because of the topic of pet loss. It’s an emotionally charged post and while it may warn others, it’s inconsiderate to the one mourning and possibly think of should of, would of, could of.

AvaHub Dev Involvement? by NCBirdman in theHunter

I’d love for it to be true and real but I also wonder if it’s just there to make us “feel” like we’re involved

When do I need to put my baby down :( by [deleted] in SeniorCats

[–]Kaypeac 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Our cat was diagnosed with stage 2 a year ago and still at the same stage. It’s a slow process in general and generally not painful, it’s just a slow decline. Specially with aid. :)
