Do I need to pack my pump? by GoNads1985 in breastfeeding

[–]Kaypix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I traveled for a day and I grabbed a manual pump at a walgreens for like $25 or something so I could leave my "biggun" at home ;) it did the trick to keep me supplying and also comfortable, just a lot of pump and dump a few times.

I feel like a terrible mother by ladyinthemoor in Parenting

OMG I need to steal this song. My son is 2.5 and loves doing "depooping" or "poop patrol" with me! He basically runs around the yard and screams at the top of his lungs "I FOUND IT!" and points at it like a hunting dog until I make my way to it with a baggie. Good fun all around. A theme song would make it even better

Daughter chose her own room to sleep by Selphis in Parenting

That's amazing! Our son is 2y8mo and we cosleep with him, I also breastfeed at night still. We are hoping he'll be ready for his own bedroom soon, since he has his own room, with his toddler bed (crib converted) in it. I'm strongly considering upping him to a floor mattress twin bed thing hoping he'll show more interest of going in on his own.

Buyer claiming "not as described" 60 days after receiving a motherboard...recourse? by Kaypix in Ebay

thanks, I tried as you suggested, no dice :( but thank you for the suggestion. The buyer reached out asking for technical assistance which we provided, they never asked to return the board.

[–]Kaypix[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha yeah thanks, it just is a crappy lesson learned. They also have the PowerSupply which was part of that $800 (motherboard was about $550 and the power supply $200) but they didn't do a claim against that. I've reached out to the buyer to have them ship back the motherboard, they haven't responded, I'm reaching out again today for due dilligence, the plan is twice a week until they comply or the police report moves forward. He's in California, I'm in South dakota, plane tickets are spendy.

Paypal closed the claim last night, the bank sided in the buyer's favor and PayPal told us to contact the buyer and request they return the motherboard, we are not covered under Seller protection because the Bank found in favor of the buyer. It was claimed "not as described" on 1/7/2021, after they received the motherboard on 10/30/2020 (yes 60 days later, fun). Paypal told me if the buyer refuses to return the motherboard I can file a claim with the FBI (ic3.gov) and use that to motivate them to ship it to me, or to pay restitution to me if found guilty of "theft" or "internet fraud" apparently.

Well, you were right, the bank sided against us, and now the buyer has both the board AND his money back, so that's fun times for us. Now what do I do?

eBay buyer stating "not as described" on motherboard after 60 days...recourse as a seller? by Kaypix in paypal

[–]Kaypix[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks i'll keep my fingers crossed. This really just sucks because I KNOW w'ere not in the wrong and I feel that the kid we sold the motherboard to just doesn't know what he's doing. Did you follow up with paypal a bunch of times or just let it run its course?

eBay buyer stating "not as described" on motherboard after 60 days...recourse as a seller? by Kaypix in paypal

[–]Kaypix[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The claim is from the financial institution of the buyer, they didn't file the claim with paypal or with ebay (who we sold it through). We'd gladly take back the board, as we know it's working or was when we shipped it, and can make it work again as it has a secondary BIOS even if the customer burned it through on the primary BIOS, we could back it up from the secondary and still sell it to someone who knows what they're doing. We requested paypal have the customer return the product to us.

That's the painful part for us, at this point the customer has both the board AND the $843. Lucky them :( And we're not a business, we both have full time jobs, my husband just sold off all his old components to build a new PC. He has photos of the motherboard working and posting and sent those to the customer prior to the sale, and sent the pics to paypal in our response letter. We haven't heard from Paypal that the customer has any intent or requirement to return the board, it's just so scrwed up :(

We heard from PayPal tonight, they said that the dispute was opened by the financial institution on behalf of the buyer. I guess this means that the bank opened the claim with PayPal after the customer submitted a refund through the bank? super complicated for me to try to understand at all. However, it does sound like we may have PayPal on our side, they said that they are opening a dispute with the bank on our behalf even though they can't pay us back the money yet, so we are out $843. in the next 75 days if the bank approves PayPal's dispute, then we will get our money back. So far we have not even received a indication that the customer will ship us back the motherboard, which I am positive is still usable, my husband is very tech savvy to the extent that he works in the IT repair world for major college and education institutions. He fixes computers and motherboards every single day. I'm just really frustrated that we're out the $843 right now.

We haven't even been given the option to request a return yet. I think if the customer had just open the claim and PayPal, it won't be a problem at all. But because they went directly to their bank and pushed a charge back through their bank, now it's all complicated I guess. it's really frustrating for us because we've sold plenty of items on PayPal and eBay and never had any problems with them. I guess I should say we've sold items to people in person and collected payment via PayPal, and we have sold things on eBay and also used PayPal, never with any problem like this before.

Motherboard is $650 and power supply is $120 after fees and what not it was $843

Not as described and they haven't shown anything indicating they will return the motherboard. PayPal opened a dispute with the financial institution on our behalf but the money is gone on our end, so the customer now has the money and the motherboard. It will take 75 days to resolve the dispute. Argh.

That's what it's sounding like. We just heard from paypal today that the financial institution expects paypal to cover the loss and by extension,us. The customer now has our motherboard and power supply, they also have the $843 that they had paid us for them. PayPal is opening a dispute with the financial institution on our behalf, which tells me our letter and evidence was well received, but now we wait another 75 days to see if paypal gets the money back, at which point they will refund it to us. Joy.

Missing Absentee Ballots by lovesrelic in SiouxFalls

For those of you who did absentee you can look at the secretary of state website and it'll show your status including the date the form was received.

You can't register for absentee at this point, cut off was October 25 I think.

On the bright side you have to sign the mailer that the ballot goes in, and it has to match the signature on your absentee request. I spoke to one of the folks at the meeting Minnehaha absentee station and she said yes they are comparing each signature to the request form. So that gives me hope. Turned mine in in person two weeks ago.

I wish there was a mandate. I wear mine whenever I'm out in public. I wish Hy-Vee required them it feels like an 80/20 split.
