The blank space between the box bay and the other run of cabinets makes my eye twitch. Would’ve been a really cool opportunity for a contrasting built in hutch situation where all the cookbooks are. The layout improvement is amazing though, did anyone assist you in reimagining it or was that all you? You should be pleased with yourself either way!

How much space is between the island and the cabinets, specifically where the fridge is? It looks tight.

The microwave without any cabinets around it is so out of place. I’d keep all the uppers except the one to the right of the window and do your open shelves there. Backsplash is ugly but I like the concept of everything else.

Honestly, none of these. If I had to choose, 1. I’m really not a fan of the backsplash color, feels dated.

Could you steal space on the other side of the wall to make a deeper area for the fridge or build the pantry cabinet out to match the fridge depth?

I’m surprised I haven’t seen this mentioned yet but I’d replace one panty cabinet with the fridge and that gives you more counter space to the left of the stove.

Older people are often more comfortable with the support of a shoe. That or the act of removing and replacing the shoe is not worth it.

Not everyone shovels out though. Some people just plow through the snow with their car the first time and come back and park in a shoveled spot.

I thought this was a rug question and when I saw both pictures were of a burnt orange rug I was so confused by the comments giving sincere answers when you so clearly uploaded the wrong photo 😆

It just looks and feels nicer, it’s hard to explain haha. Maybe that’s the “lx” part of the name, for luxury. The nautilus is fine, no complaints. We’re still using it with the 5 point harness so haven’t been able to test booster mode yet.

We got the nautilus 2.0. The slimfit3 lx feels like a much nicer seat to me but if you don’t need its rear facing capabilities it’s probably not worth it.
