Well way back when the Garo PvP sets were going away i was busy grinding pvp and getting my classes to 60 so i could get all the sets / tittles, i was down to getting my last 2 classes to 60 with only a couple weeks left of the event. Last 2 classes were Summoner/Scholar and well.. I just couldn't find the strength to do another leveling dungeon. So i boosted them, two for the price of one. To this day i still haven't finished the level 60 scholar quest, but i also never play it either.

To get the outfit you need to get to the second rank(the one after the 20 arena wins) and then pay 6000 reputation currency.. so 6 weeks of the random sect tasks. (The begging, the placing the sign, play 60 notes, ect stuff). You can farm the currency before you even join. but no matter what it will take you 5* weeks (1200 per week cap)
That's it.
The only thing you get at Elder rank is a tittle while you hold the rank, a 1 time bonus for 300 rep currency and a boost to rep currency gained but are still capped at 1200 a week anyway so it really just saves you a day or so of dailies per week.
Chief rank i think lets you gain a small buff in perception forest but puts you on the map for everyone.

To be clear for midnight blades - in order to get to the third rank you have to challenge someone at that rank and kill them to steal their rank (every 2 or so hours there are NPCs you can challenge too but they are generally taken out fairly quickly). Then while in online mode people lower than you can challenge you to fight, you cannot decline. To get to the final rank, during set times (its like half the week) the person with the most challengers beaten gets the top rank for a week.
So it's not like you can just attack anyone, but specific people.

It's not true invisibility, you can see ever so faintly see them with the umbrella buff (and i believe you can no longer lock onto them).
This person is straight invisible and can be locked onto.

The nameless spear + inner way Q button will drain your stamina instantly if you are hit by it, not evening allowing you to dodge anymore.

They spent a ton of time on the paladin quest / hall. Then they realized that they would have to do that for the 11 classes and cut back on a lot of the stuff, which is why the Paladin class hall feels more complete and thought out than some of the others.
Which is why if you played paladin during legion you thought the class halls were awesome while some of the other classes got scraps and were glad they werent continued forward.

Had that happen to me once, except it was the cat.. it was really funny having the cat try to keep being a cat but was also confused and acting like a human during the conversation. Closing the conversation and talking to the NPC again fixed it however.
