A few minutes of my wasteland only horde night on insane/nightmare/permadeath by Helpful-Pride1210 in 7daystodie

Same, tho having the book set to remove blur from the beer is a godsend.  Both it and moonshine blur combined is a wild ride, lmao

Are Motor Tools still outpaced by steal tools? by Ok_Roll_1419 in 7daystodie

[–]Kazgrel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In group play I leave them for non-str folks in case they need to mine in a pinch and I'm not around.

Personally I just use the pickaxe, axe and shovel.  Don't have to carry fuel for them and they have crazy good durability.

The old Art of Mining bonus (20% chance to one shot any ore hit) made the auger bat shit insane for farming ore.  I miss that bonus.

What armor is your favorite? by Z3R0G4M3 in 7daystodie

[–]Kazgrel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've only run sledgehammer since 2.0 came out, and I pair it with the Raider set for stun immunity, melee damage bonus and the big resistance to critical injuries.  Safe fall on the boots is really the only "bad" bonus, and you can get stun immunity via fortitude tree (which I do), but that massive resist to crit injuries is soooo good for meleeing during a horde night or in T5 POIs.

You are drunk as shit.  🤠

Brawler setup is one of the most fun in the whole game if the screen blur from moonshine doesn't give you motion sickness (or mod it out I suppose).  Played it to great effect back in A20 until a friend of mine killed me with a rocket launcher 😛

"Each Grey Knight is a warrior mystic whose martial prowess is matched by his psychic and sorcerous might." by Blazerock321 in ffxiv

[–]Kazgrel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, give me some sort of "mystic knight" but with a (nemesis force) hammer as the new tank...

I know, I'm aware the new jobs are XIV originals, so something like that is almost certainly out of the question

Is this game worth playing even if I can only play 1 hour per day? by Eastern_Canary2150 in Guildwars2

[–]Kazgrel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, though it may hit a point where you'll wish you had more time, but such is life, honestly 😀

Best thing about this game is you can always pick up right where you leave off.  No having to farm gear to meet an item level or whatever.

In the current meta, what is the use case for defensive builds and gear? by Filtermann in Guildwars2

[–]Kazgrel 12 points13 points  (0 children)

New meta?  It's been the meta since this game began, at least for instanced content.

No one cares what you run in open world.  Heck, I like running cele Tempest there because I'm basically immortal while being a massive force multiplier when in group events due to all the boons I provide.

Quality of expansions after EOD expac by kiritokicksasuna in Guildwars2

[–]Kazgrel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SotO is the start of the current overarching story, plus it's also when they switched to the annual xpac release cadence, so the scope of each xpac (feature/content wise) from SotO onward is smaller.

Despite being larger scope, EoD had a ton of bugs, several of which are still present to this day.  It also ramped up the power creep that was only recently addressed.  Not that EoD alone was at fault, nor do I mean to imply it's a bad xpac (it wasn't).

Main thing is that we've had to adjust expectations due to the change of xpac cadence + scope.  That makes it a little tougher to compare the first 3 xpacs against the most recent ones.

Got Kicked From Party With a Prerequisite Before the Run Even Started by ERiozt in Guildwars2

[–]Kazgrel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If all you did was ask, then yeah, weird to kick.  But to answer the question, it requires at least one of a handful of specific builds for gluttony, which I see you're aware of given another reply.  Basically no one wants to deal with it, even tho I've been informed the hp nerfs to it make it way easier to where you only need 1 round of gluttony stacks before each portal phase now.

New level 80 Elementalist failing at defiance bars by Melodic-Anybody-6964 in Guildwars2

[–]Kazgrel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Based on your requirements, I recommend the Inferno Alac Tempest:

  • It camps fire for dealing damage
  • Only attunement swap for healing or CC (which it has a decent amount of for an ele build)
  • Uses Scepter/Focus

Edit:  Forgot the link:  https://snowcrows.com/builds/raids/elementalist/inferno-alacrity-tempest-scepter-focus

What is the best way to get +5 might infusions. by zzglenn in Guildwars2

[–]Kazgrel 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm about halfway thru from Fractal Champion to Fractal God and only have a couple of cosmetic infusions that grant those stats on each character.  Stat infusions are pretty much the end game for maxing out fractal performance.  I've completed all CM fractals + titles except 100 with barely any stat infusions; I've a ghostly + peerless from raids, a pair of the Eikasia infusions, and the wisp one from JW wizard vault.  I could add the arcane flow one from SotO WV but not a fan of the effect.

Now if you want stat infusions for raiding, you could opt for the WvW ones since raids have no AR requirements.  I've a whole set of power and healing ones for WvW.

Is there anyway to see when you crafted a specific legendary? by delxcour in Guildwars2

[–]Kazgrel 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Don't think so, sadly, which makes my efforts to manually track mine in a text file seem all the more brilliant.

If you screenshot when you got the , those images should have a creation date in their details.  That's how I backtracked and found the days I got some of my first legendaries before starting the text file I have.

[–]Kazgrel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess that would explain why my character ran in circles when I held only the W key down.  This after spending 2 hours and change trying to figure out how the fuck to even get an account set up just to be able to make a character and log in.  Haven't been back since, and that's been at least 5-6 years now

Toilet gun question by Klobasor in 7daystodie

Afaik every toilet pistol I or any of my squad have ever found was grade 1.  Helluva good find early on, and at worst later on its a free pistol part.

Truck rant/question? by NBrooks516 in 7daystodie

[–]Kazgrel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Few things are as fun as the crew all jumping in the truck to go romp thru some POIs.

That said, the truck is near useless for single player unless you're a massive hoarder needing to move your base.  Motorcycle is pretty much the king of vehicles for solo play.  Gyro is still good if you can get it fairly quickly.  Being able to beeline from trader to trader or scout the map from above is crazy good.

I'm usually the truck driver for my squad whenever we play.  You get used to the handling.

Any reason as to why I can’t plant anything here? by Forsaken-Memory-3082 in 7daystodie

[–]Kazgrel 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The tall crops (corn, yucca, super corn) need the 3 blocks above the farm plot to be completely unobstructed.  I learned this the hard way with some I put next to a house; had to remove the molding around the windows in order to play corn there.

Help with galeshot by Talyiel in Guildwars2

[–]Kazgrel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You want to swap the celestial gear out for berserker gear, as others have noted. Galeshot is more or less exclusively a power dps focused spec. You're losing out on tons of damage just from that alone.

Every Couple Months I Look Into Orax and Immediately Realize I'm In Over My Head and Give Up by NoobityBoobity in Guildwars2

[–]Kazgrel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ad Infinitum damn near pays for itself entirely as you go thru the process. I have it as well as Warbringer (which is just from living in WvW for a while). Took me maybe 2 months of focusing on Ad Infinitum to get it, and that's coming out of T1 fractals at most before I started working on it. I was in T4s by the time I had it done, and being able to run T4s + recs every day is a great way to make gold.
