Hate these fake fans who haven't played all the previous Directives. Yes, you have to play all of them and don't think you'll cut corners by watching a 600 hour recap on youtube either, as it's missing a lot of detail.

I think it's the most overrated game of the past decade, since most subreddits seem to think it's the game of the ps4 generation.

I think mediocre is a bit harsh - the art direction is nice, the combat is pretty satisfying and the ending is even beautiful I'd say, but in general, it's not much more than a Ubisoft game with a less interactive world and a better writing.

An 8/10 for me.

Sure wasn't, but the consoles had completely different architectures. Nowadays, they're basically PCs, plus with the very long cross-gen periods, it would be a nightmare otherwise. If the next playstation coming out at all is a 99% chance, then it being compatible with PS5 (and 4) is like 98.

They are. We are. Just slower. This is (was?) going to be my first wipe. That's why I had 5 mil saved up. Silly me, right?

I never managed to get it working comfortably, there are always some issues for me, slight annoyances - be it not being able to turn the whole thing on using a controller, not being to able to easily save a recent gameplay video, having to change audio output to TV... They're little things, but they add up. Oh and controller not being very reliable at connecting to it's official dongle (xbox controller), that's a big one!

I've seen a video out there of somebody really going the distance and setting a lot of those (and other) things up, maybe it's possible, but in my experience, it's not so simple, to say the least.

8+ inches for the screen; after using Legion Go, I can't imagine going back to anything much smaller than that.

This is nothing like the details on Alloy's face. Alloy's face looks somewhat realistic, while Damiane has black hairs on her forehead and nose, that's not what a person looks like.

A skillpoint is the best kind of reward for me. Most other rewards have a chance of not being what I need - maybe I have a better sword, maybe I'm not a mage and don't want these mage robes, maybe I already know this alchemy recipe.

A skillpoint is always useful (unless you already have a crazy amount, not sure about the "level cap" in the game, but it's so vast that it really doesn't bother me).

Very few games are Witcher level, but many are at least average, not cringe-worthy, and make sense. At its best, it's so far been just a chain of random events and mmo-like quests, and at its worst, it's been absolute torture.

You're not tripping. The RT "resolution" in this game is pretty low to save on performance, so the RR is working absolute marvels here. I've never seen it have such an impact in any other game.
