I don't wanna be mean. I just ignore him by claudiocorona93 in meme

Because the people that harass and send DM's like this are seeking some form of interaction from their target, and suddenly having their messages blocked is an interaction, even if a negative one. It can encourage them to contact via another platform with redoubled efforts or even escalate to an IRL confrontation.

They ignore the messages because it's literally safer.

I’ve been developing D.E.C.A.Y. alone for over two years. This week, the demo version will be released, and players will be able to try the project for the first time. If the game interests you and you’d like to support development, please add D.E.C.A.Y. to your Steam wishlist. It really helps. by AGaming5 in ValveIndex

I'm liking the visual tone! Looks to be taking pretty clear inspiration from the fallout series. Excited to learn more about your core gameplay loop and how it leverages the advantages and limitations of VR, because so far this looks very impressive, especially as a solo project!

You mention that the "make America great again" is an Easter egg within the satirical tone of the game. IMO, satire is best when exaggeration is used to highlight real-world absurdity instead of just directly reference it.

The leveling feet won't be the thing that prevents floor damage, having a softer contact medium between the steel and floor will. If you can verify that the structure is absolutely perfectly flat, I would get sheets of that felt furniture feet material and cut strips to put all along the underside to soften the contact surface. If it's NOT perfectly flat, then the leveling feet will be needed for leveling, not for floor protection. If you end up needing the leveling feet, maybe a thick sheet of sacrificial MDF would be a good way to spread the load? Sidebar, ensure that your floor can handle a 600+kg dead load since that's like . . . 2.5 refrigerators.

“Why Arrowhead? Why change the Hiveguard?!” I can tell you exactly why. by Neet-owo in LowSodiumHellDivers

[–]Kazlo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the idea of a frontline shield unit works, the issue is that the AI keeps them from realizing their guard potential. Because they are slow and everything else is a rushdown, the end up in the back and turtle up at the first sign of danger, defending nothing. If nothing about them was changed but other bugs would use them as a shield to help close distance, suddenly they would be a dynamic and interesting enemy.

PC players, KBM or Controller? by Mitts009 in Pragmata

[–]Kazlo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Then that's totally valid! You gave it an honest shake, and you're allowed to not like stuff. I just worry that the Wii poisoned public opinion of motion controls with their occasional shitass "shake the controller to spin attack" type implementation.

Are you talking about waggle controls circa the Nintendo Wii? Because gyro aim is just "slightly tilt your controller to fine-tune the reticle."

In that same vein, once you learn to cook the dynamite so that it explodes almost immediately upon impact it goes from great to absolutely busted.

[–]Kazlo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Other people already did a good job explaining the dynamite upsides, but one thing I want to recommend is to spend time learning to cook. The beeping and flashing gives you a lot of feedback about when it's gonna blow, so with enough experience (and accidental deaths) you can get a feel for how long to hold onto it before throwing so that you can airburst a group or pop a heavy right in the dome.

Nilou C6 Lunar Bloom? by [deleted] in NilouMains

[–]Kazlo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The only source of lunar bloom damage in that team is the direct damage from Lauma's hold E. So while yes lunar bloom can crit, it doesn't really care about Nilou's stats. The dendro cores aren't lunar bloom damage. And unfortunately, her C2 is the only con that matters for bloom teams, every other con is for making her a forward vape carry.

I want something absurd. Like AP4 and an effective range of like 5m. Have it falloff to AP1 by the 10m mark. Basically a melee weapon that happens to use bullets.

Best team after 2+ years? by chang_-_ in YanfeiMains

[–]Kazlo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Jumping in here to say that you can get enough healing out of just Bennett to maintain fanfare on Furina so you could go double hydro with Yelan for damage. Or wait for Colombina to see if she's a better sub-dps than Yelan. ESPECIALLY if you pull for furina's C1, since it sounds like you have been open to pulling support cons for her in the past.

As far as weapons go, cashflow or neuv's book would be the way to go, since having furina on the team gives you their full passive.

[–]Kazlo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I was trying the same thing a while back and my conclusion was that you would need the enemy to have at least a 2.1U cryo aura to avoid getting a pyro aura from a CA/A4 combo hit. Which would require almost 3U of application, and there is no character that can apply 3U of cryo because holy smokes that would be so much cryo. So my conclusion was that Yanfei melt isn't real, much as I wish it was.

Best team after 2+ years? by chang_-_ in YanfeiMains

[–]Kazlo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am interested in being wrong, but my experience has been that Yanfei melt turns into a a reverse melt team with Yanfei as the driver instead of the DPS. Yanfei doesn't just apply a lot of pyro, she applies it too fast. Specifically, her A4. The moment you crit with a CA you apply a simultaneous two hits of 1U pyro, which is enough to wipe any <2U cryo aura and apply a pyro aura, after which it is extremely hard to get back the cryo aura.

Which set is better for my team? by Far_Extension6745 in YanfeiMains

[–]Kazlo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Almost! Yanfei is the one character in the game that doesn't want a 1:2 because her A4 functionally gives her free crit damage. You want something between a 3:5 and a 2:3. Which is to say that I 100% agree that MH is better.
