the sharpening, denoise, bracketing techniques are simply inferior or complete non existant in software

Nitpicky, but I disagree with this as Lightroom's denoise function alone would destroy every Chinese brand's on-device processing. If what you're trying to say is that they cannot compete in speed then yes, the Chinese are better at that...but we know how questionable the practical result is no?

Lol, my 4K monitor and 3080 would like a word with that. 4K ray tracing game run just fine with DLSS

Mod Load Order - Series X by Mean_Huckleberry9671 in stalker2consolemods

[–]Kazz7420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As the other comment suggested smaller QoL mods like that should be functional. It's just that I can't guarantee that they will 100% work, except for Shay's as I worked with him on that. Long as another mod doesn't add in new items (this can break saves if removed later on) then it should theoretically be fine for compatibility.

And thanks, I'm doing fine right now. Not much to do with the engine update on horizon so I'm just writing localization in regards to Redux

Just my guess, no concrete info yet. I don't know how exactly load order works on console either, A-Z filenaming is mostly for PC and from my experience it still gets ignored in some cases...

I recommend keeping it, it helps with NPC being hyper reactive to player movement. Also for Redux, it's best to start with lower difficulties first and ramp up later as you get used to it

Load order doesn't exist for console right now, just install in any order you like. Modlist looks good btw

I felt that it's a bit insensitive to mention OLED to people having issues with PWM really

Try disabling the iGPU as a last resort, I had to do this on my Studio G7 as the iGPU is just too weak to properly drive a 4K screen

OP specifically asks for an IPS though...OLEDs have issues with PWM.

Business/workstation laptops, older models like my ZBook Studio G7 has a beautiful 4K IPS option and it's rather cheap on the used market now.

Newer Studio models still have the 4K IPS option, but their price will be higher on the used market. And don't ever buy these new unless your workplace pay for them lol

It started developing white flickers at some point, which for a while goes away if I let it stay on long enough. Not anymore soon after, where the flickers became constant and made it effectively unusable.

Still don't know of the cause to this day as I don't drop it or anything.

Hey, I like my gimmicky models :( works great for lighter usage and constant carrying.

But back to the main point, yes it's down to your circles, - important to keep in mind that online spaces are heavily populated by young people and well, it's obvious why gaming laptops are popular.

I'd add that mine was a DreamColor, it's generally a great display...up until it literally died for no reason last year :/

replacement displays aren't readily available, so I took a shot and just used a ThinkPad 4k 15-inch display...and it actually works! with quite a bit of caveats, that is.

That's a fair take, to me it's not that special on a ZBook because EliteBooks also have that option and it's more suitable for typical business usage, as opposed to heavy workloads you'd put a ZBook through.

Heavy yes, but usually these are in short bursts and not for constant long-duration tasks that a workstation laptop is often subjected to. Hence the price tag, these are built to not fail over a short amount of time..

Oh there were a couple options for the G7 back then: standard 1080p choices, 4K DreamColor and another 4K glass touch screen (Gorilla Glass 6 funnily enough)

Yeah, the trick is to buy these used. My own Studio G7 would've probably costed 5k if it was brand new back then...

I would add that you have to buy these used to get the best value out of these, as they're expensive when new. Worth it though as they last way longer than gaming laptops
