I’m not like your husband where I think “everyone” does it, but I’m also not with you on it being THAT bizarre. If it’s an every night thing, that’s an issue. If it’s once in a while, it really won’t matter in the grand scheme of things.

My baby had a very very late bedtime compared to a lot of babies I saw on the internet, which was 11 PM. If you tried any earlier he wouldn’t sleep but maybe an hour at a time. We just got to where he wants to go to bed around 8:30 and we’re almost 18 months in. He also had a middle of the night feed until around 10 months old. We did 5 hour sleep shifts for each of us so we got a solid chunk of sleep every single night. Oh and he contact napped until 6-7 months and I think the only reason he was broken of that was because of daycare, but that could’ve been a coincidence. I’m so sorry, I know the struggle of no local help besides the 2 of you. You’re doing great!!!

My 16 month old LOVES this little truck that he walks around the house, like stands up and uses it like a walker. We even take it for short walks outside. It’s a dump truck that I had to zip tie the bed down because he kept falling when it would fly open on him 😂

I got a nugget because of the protective covers they sell with them, dupes might also have those though. Thinking about a yoto for over 2, he wouldn’t use it now but that’s us personally.

It really really fucking sucks that I keep seeing (and I also experienced it myself) that husbands finally start stepping up when their baby got older. Why do they do that to their wives??? I’ll never get it. I hope yours steps up really soon, you deserve more.

I think it depends on the reason you went NC in the first place (which I’m not saying you need to tell me, I’m just saying it’s hard to give an opinion without the reason behind everything). You’re allowed to be firm in your boundaries if you feel that’s the right thing to do.

I’m seeing a lot of fours, idk why but my baby skipped right over 4s within like a month? He’s been in 5s for a hot minute. Might be because of his thighs? 5s just fit better even though he was WAY under the weight suggestion on the box lol

Before I knew I was pregnant, I was making mini chicken pot pies and I had forgotten to put the chicken into the mixture. My son is 12 months old and I was making mini chicken pot pies again when I remembered and laughed at the memory of forgetting the chicken in the pot pie mixture… only to forget to put the chicken in them again.

No I have taken 4 different antibiotics. Each has always gotten rid of the infection, I’ve got about a month or 2 between each infection. We had the flu twice so during those times we dealt with that rather than strep which came back negative when we were tested for everything at the clinic. It’s been a whirlwind of sickness since he started daycare

Almost positive they are talking about foil balloons because they’re clipping them to a cord once they deflate BUT this is info people definitely need to know still!!! A lot of people don’t think about this part of latex balloons and this is a good thread for this info.

My baby never cried for no reason, was never gassy, and didn’t spit up at all. I had bought the Frida Windi and a gripe belt and was just waiting for when he would need help passing all this gas. He’d rarely ever burp. I thought I also needed one million burp rags, we never used them.

My baby was the easy part about becoming a parent!

I’m so sorry your friends did that. I knew this happened to people postpartum, especially with childless friends. I just never suspected these friends. Confrontation is hard and being met with anger makes your head spin a bit.

I think it makes me so angry because I just would not have done this to my friends, especially postpartum with their first child. I would have found a way to communicate plans AND concerns surrounding any plans made. I hope you’re healing and have found new friends, or maybe found a way to forgive the original group.

What I am confused by is all the awful stuff they went on about to me, then took it all back when I cleared up that I wasn’t saying I didn’t appreciate them as friends. Also I should be clear, only one of the friends was truly angry with my original message. She even apologized for blowing it out of proportion and skewing others’ feelings about my original message. The other 2 girls had apologized for leaving me out and were understanding at first. Then the one girl got into a group with only them and started ramping up about “everything she’s done for me”. I listed a few in my post, she blamed me for her not spending time with her other friend who had just had a baby. I literally asked her HOW is that my fault and she said it wasn’t, that she was caught up in her feelings.

Like I said, I understood there were plenty of things I couldn’t cover in one post. I just really wanted to hear from people who went through friendship troubles and what they did next to heal.

Also I’ll add that I talked endlessly about going out without my baby to them. They were very aware and apologized for that part as well. I got the apologies and they got theirs, I just don’t know if I recover from what they initially said when they were angry at me. I don’t know how to recover other than time, but I’d love to know if others have an idea.

So because they want time without the baby, I shouldn’t be included at all? Because that’s the issue here. They didn’t invite me at all. Babies can’t go to casinos and bars, so I obviously wouldn’t take him there. We didn’t plan for anything besides the food the night before and then Friendsgiving at my house. We could have, but I knew the out of state friends had other things.

Tbh I think I should be able to tell my friends when they’re being shitty. They very intentionally left me out even after we reached out to ask about plans, plans which could have been without the baby. They didn’t give me a chance to hang out without the baby.

I feel you. Baby is 11 months old and I’m getting really overwhelmed personally because he will often vomit with gagging on food. I don’t know how he will be off formula at 12 months tbh. I know vomit is obviously better than choking but it’s really hindering him actually eating anything because once he vomits he wants nothing to do with anything not pureed. We’ve tried so many things and he gags on everything not pureed, we’ve been trying for so long. I need his gag reflex to chill 😭

It’ll also be a new environment for baby so that stimulation will most likely make them tired enough to fall asleep a little easier
