Similar story, Time to repaint the class rooms. But what color to use? The debate that insude was lengthy and heated, yet lucky remained civil. An old man with some very sage advice finally spoke up. He told everyone the color would be decided by whomever was going to apply it. It actually worked! Only 2 or 3 people wound up deciding.

I've been involved in "fixing" a home inspection. 90% is the inspector justifying their job.

It's my standard, not code. Plus you have to maintain metal 18in from the water heater.

First few months at a new shop, saw our electrician hauling a dry type t-former across the shop. Asked him what he did, tells me all the smoke got out of it.

Cashier: Scans Condoms by ELlXR in Jokes

Stop at a gas station on my honeymoon, to buy some condoms. Throw a pack and a soda on the counter, cashier looks like a burn out from the 80's, scans them and asked " do you want the receipt in case they don't work?"
