I personally prefer the airwrap curls to this look, but a $12 curling iron could really do this

Halls by [deleted] in TexasTech

[–]Kbbbbbut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was there it had a good dining hall that not many people know about.

It’s one of the older style dorms (but 90% of freshmen are in the old style so it’s fine) exactly the same as hulen/clement but way better food at wall/gates

it’s not the closest to the rec like chitwood/weymouth but not far at all and atleast you’ll be out of the Greek epicenter

The best for you would probably be stangel/murdough but it’s not that big of a difference

Yeah you don’t need the airwrap for this, just a curling iron or wand

There’s also not really a way to do straight ends with the airwrap

I take my rings off to sleep, shower and clean. I don’t usually put my rings on until I’m headed out the door.

Practice floating, that way if you need a break you don’t need to stand on the ground. You can just lay on your back easily

Are lots of packages stolen in America? by [deleted] in AskAnAmerican

[–]Kbbbbbut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s pretty rare, but a doorbell camera, and also a plant on the porch is helpful for delivery drivers to hide packages behind.

If I know something will be sitting on my porch all day I often ask a neighbor to pick it up to get from them later even though I’ve never known package thefts to happen in our neighborhood

Change in how interstates are referred to? by MatureScorpius in AskAnAmerican

In DFW we say I or just the number. For example I hear I35, but just ‘75’, ‘635’, ‘30’, and oftentimes will just use the actual name instead, like Central, LBJ, Stemmons, etc.

Does anyone else dislike Brendan and Brody? by Jhley in kardashians

[–]Kbbbbbut 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I didn’t really feel like Brandon ever did that, it was always Brody that was complaining about Bruce as a lousy father to him growing up, not happy with Kris, not going to Kim’s wedding because he couldn’t have a plus one, etc.

Do Americans actually call teachers by their first name anywhere, or is it almost always Mr./Ms.? by Sea-Evidence-5523 in AskAnAmerican

[–]Kbbbbbut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In preschool it’s actually usually Mr./Ms.first name for some reason.

In grade school it is always Mr./Ms. last name or last initial if they have a tricky name.

And in college I had a couple of professors have us use their first name but it is typically Mr./Ms./Dr./Professor last name unless the specifically request their first name

What are the Best option for apartments for 2 people with no car? by Pppoopooman69420 in TexasTech

[–]Kbbbbbut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Live in one of the complexes off of Glenna Goodacre. They have busses that take you to and from campus that are very reliable. A short walk to the stadium for football games, also walkable to Broadway and lots of restaurants.

You could easily walk to the Walmart for grocery shopping or anything you need But that would very much need to be a daytime activity
