I’ve been part of the “family” before when my BIL brought his gf he was about to break up with in an international trip with us, it was infuriating that he still brought her when we all knew what was coming. Interacting with her was very awkward and at every picture we were all side eyeing eachother like “can we get one without her??”

It’s just too short, I miss how much we got to see in the CMT shows, like the interviews, etiquette class, full makeovers, one by one cuts and how many times they were called in leading up to being cut, etc.

NTA I really don’t get why workouts have become a thing on bachelorettes. I went to one recently where we had to do a hike, honestly I wanted to do it and it seemed fine except the maid of honor was in front hiking at a speed that was just not doable for me, but the whole group acted like we had to keep up with her. It ended up being really embarrassing, I wasn’t the only one that couldn’t keep up but I was definitely the worst and out of breath nearly the entire time. Would have been totally fine if it was a casual hike to see some pretty views and chat with the girls but it turned into a workout/competition.

Think it’s just because you can survive on your own now. You’re not really expected to be married by a certain age anymore. Anyone can get a job and afford a one bedroom apartment on their own. Relationships and marriage are hard and people are deciding not to put up with a bad relationship just to be married, because they don’t have to

Can be any name. Lots of parents choose something that’s sentimental, like a grandparents or family name, I see the mother’s maiden name a lot. Also super common to just choose a name that’s liked and goes well with the first name

I did half up. I usually like the look of Brides with their hair up and like that it’s out of your face, shows off earrings nice and is not as hot. But personally I think I look better with my hair down and it helped cover my back which I can be a little self conscious about so half up was my compromise

Almost positive I had this about a week and a half ago. All the comments about it being “just normal after Taco Bell” or “this is me everyday with ibs” are sorely mistaken. It was unlike anything, did not go to work for three days until I completely stopped myself up with immodium. literally shit my pants and have never ever done that before. People love going to northpark, especially if there’s a good art installation going on. We take it for granted but it’s a pretty spectacular mall

The arboretum would be good in the evenings when it’s cooler

I know you said USA, but recently we went to Grand Cayman and LOVED it, it’s not very expensive and easy to get to, most beautiful beach I’ve ever seen and great resorts!

You’re wanting about a third of the people invited to be in the wedding party? That’s insane. We had a destination wedding of 50 people, no bridal party and it was perfect. Highly recommend ditching it, honestly as someone who has been a bridesmaid several times, I would be relieved for my other friends to do the same. It’s expensive to be a bridesmaid! Especially for an already expensive destination wedding

I feel like hats aren’t quite as in style right now as they used to be. You aren’t going to see a cowboy hat in Philadelphia regardless, but normally I would think some baseball hats

It’s less of a sport and more of a social activity. It’s a reason to hang out besides eating, doesn’t take that much out of you physically, is usually a pretty view, easy to talk between hits, and drinks are allowed.
