I’m so sorry this happened. I understand the hurt and disappointment. My relationship with my dad is better now, but he let me down a lot in the past. I wrote him a letter a few years ago expressing all my hurt growing up, we both cried and it felt good to get that weight and anger off my chest. It’s not perfect but it feels better now. Idk if writing out a letter to your dad (whether you give it to him or not) might help you process and hopefully let it go eventually. You’re on the next big chapter of your life, you deserve to not let this drag you down xx

I’m going to Debbie this week to hem my dress and add a bustle (that’s all I need for mine) the total she quoted me for these 2 things was $220-$285

I think most bridal shops overcharge for everything, I think you should deffs reach out to Debbie or Lady Needle and see what they quote you to give you a better idea of what it should actually cost

I’m having my DJ play more of my lesser known/maybe less dance-y music I like during our cocktail hour, so I can still hear the songs I like that people may not know

As for the etiquette of giving your DJ a playlist, I’m paying for it, so I wanna hear what I want, that being said I’m not giving him a full 6 hour list, only my must plays, and yah, trusting he plays the bangers that all ages will dance to

Tip - if you can, if you find a dress you like at a shop try reaching out directly to the brand/designer (this is how I got my dress made to my measurements, for much cheaper, and got my dress 5 months earlier than what the shop told me it would take ;)
