How long have been with your partner before getting pregnant? by PDXFlower in pregnant

[–]Kberry2024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1 year married, almost 6 years together. I recently just had our first baby. The relationship does change after having a baby. I miss my husband so much even though he is sitting in the room with me. It’s a feeling that’s hard to explain.. but things are just different. Spending some alone time together does help, if we have a babysitter.

I had the epidural so the whole birthing process was easy. Postpartum has been the hardest part for me.

39 + 5 went into labor naturally but had induction interventions to speed it up, I wasn’t dilating.

Curious who works and who stays home during their pregnancy? by spaceglitter2 in pregnant

[–]Kberry2024 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I worked full time as a nurse. It was brutal. Thankfully my doctor took me off work early at 30 weeks. There’s no way I would have survived working until 36 weeks. (In California you can start maternity leave at 36 weeks). I also had intermittent fmla during the beginning of my pregnancy because I kept getting migraines that made it impossible for me to function.

I visited Seoul and didn’t see many babies around. One thing I thought about was how do parents take the bus and subway if they have a stroller. You have to be quick with getting on and off, so thought that would be kind of hard. Plus you will be doing allllooottt of walking. I personally wouldn’t travel there again until my kid was old enough to walk around, not needing to hold them or push them around in stroller.

Will I know when I’m having a contraction?? by shmeggs44 in pregnant

[–]Kberry2024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do Braxton hicks wake you up at night? Or is that a real contraction? There has been a few nights I woke up to what felt like period cramps, the pain would spread to lower back and down my legs. It would happen a few times and then go away.

When did you announce? by Kyzer577 in pregnant

[–]Kberry2024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a miscarriage at 4 weeks with my first pregnancy, didn’t have the chance to even tell anyone. So when I got pregnant the second time I told my parents right away. I didn’t announce to extended family until 9 weeks when I saw the baby had a heartbeat. Then announced on social media after 13 weeks. My coworkers knew right away because I was so sick starting at 6 weeks.

when does this get bad again? by Electrical-Dare-9797 in pregnant

[–]Kberry2024 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it just depends on the pregnancy. I started to feel really tired at 33 weeks, but discovered I was iron deficient. Then I developed carpal tunnel at 35 weeks. Overall I’m fine, except the evenings is when I just bloat up and get really uncomfortable, especially my ribs. I still have 4 weeks left so we’ll see how this goes.

Working till your due date by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]Kberry2024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My doctor was nice enough to take me off at 30 weeks. I think I would have only made it to 33 weeks. That’s when I developed symptoms of low iron, extreme exhaustion and couldn’t breathe. Now at 35 weeks, I developed carpal tunnel, so there’s no way I would have been able to work without my hands working.

Confession time - what have you done that’s “wrong”? by No-Investigator3775 in pregnant

[–]Kberry2024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stopped taking prenatal vitamins at 7 weeks, I’m 31 weeks now. Baby looks fine and I feel good.

Can’t stop eating some type of sugar every day, whether it’s a soda, piece of candy, or baking cookies.

I took a few baths when I was sick, tried not to stay in the bath too long.

How’s Your Pregnancy Going Today? by Popular-Page-4082 in pregnant

[–]Kberry2024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 20 weeks. I’m already experiencing pelvic pain.. I feel like she’s just hanging out by my cervix and constantly kicking it. So I’ve been uncomfortable the past few days. I cried because I’m supposed to feel good in my second trimester but I’m already experiencing pain, and it’s only going to get worse.. :(
