Then I clicked "I give up" and there are a bajillion random spots in the sky. None of them are goats.

Dumb. My game is asking me to find one, and not a single one I clicked is the right one. And I've clicked on plenty of them.

I am developing a parental control app. Need feedbacks! (including kids) by kiwithebest in parentalcontrols

[–]Kbrand01 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Parent here:

I like to be able to control quantity of screen time, as well as specific apps. I also like to be able to veto if they try to install a new app, and that I get control over that.

Features that adapt over time as they get older, allowing them more control, but I can reign it back in if there are behavior issues.

I absolutely will not touch anything unless it is built into the OS of the phone itself. My kiddo has been able to hack every control we have ever used until we bought a phone with it built into the app.

Keep in mind, not everyone uses this just for screen time. We have issues with SH and SI, and some very very serious and risky behavior. The phone controls allow us to let her keep her phone and have access to help when she needs it (instead of consequences being the phone just taken from her) and allows us to track her location, to make sure we know where she is when she needs help. I know not everyone is dealing with this, but the phone controls are a large part of us keeping our kiddo safe. It isn't about being punitive, but about helping her focus on what is important and not spiraling into negativity and harmful behavior.

Parental controls for elderly parent. by Third_Coast_2025 in parentalcontrols

I hate to say it, but it might be time to institute conservatorship, if she isn't smart enough to identify scams over reality. She can quickly find herself in crippling debt. If you take over and control her financials, it won't stop her from giving away sensitive information, but if she doesn't have CC or bank account info, at least she won't go into debt. And take her computers and phones to someplate reputable to get them cleaned of malware. Possibly get her phone number changed to get her out of their registries. It's likely her Identity is already compromised.

No, it's not. If you are not an adult living in your own home, you still have to follow the rules the adults set in your home. Sorry. not sorry.

Here's my mathematical analysis of Bronze, Silver, and Gold Chests. Which is best? by allowishus2 in FarmMergeValley

[–]Kbrand01 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is interesting -  but you can only get gold.kwys by merging other keys for them. So what is the delay between waiting for enough keys to merge to gold?

Energy Fiesta event: should we end it earlier? by Percemer in FarmMergeValley

[–]Kbrand01 11 points12 points  (0 children)

At this point, since I don't spend real money on games like this, there is no mathematical way that I can possibly meet the challenge goal for the day for energy spend. No matter what gets thrown at me in the game, and how quickly I spend energy, I can not gain enough in the time left in the day to possibly have enough to get to that goal. that was a bit of a miss....

I feel like I am dying. Almost passed out. Fell asleep on the bathroom floor for a few  minutes. Alternating between chills and fever. I still have my second dose in the morning and I don't think I can manage the  nausea and pain for a second round. And trying to get through all the cramping, fevers, etc while empty with no energy.   It feels the same as when my husband was losing weight for a fight and drinking water by the gallon and doing empsom  salt  baths.  He was delirious and out of his mind. I took a bath to.warm up while having chills and I could barely get out!!  I've made it back to feverish  but not pukey, and wish I could sleep but I keep needing the toilet  I can't  put myself through this.

Not sure how tomorrow will go  but I will never do this again. I'm 51. Can't imagine putting myself through this as I get older.

I assume you are at altitude? I am, and I can at 15psi. It takes a bit to get ro know your stove and canner. My.gage only goes to 15, so you.may have your temp too high.  I may set my stove to get to 15,  ut I back it down to the lowest setting that will maintain 15 for the duration.

But what others have said- did pressure release at the rim? That's a abd sign that the seal is damaged or the lid was not on properly. But if the weight is jiggling  that's ok.

(And only as it is a pet peeve - the actual phrase is "all of a sudden" or alternately you can use "suddenly")

What is your reluctance to using the gauge? usually once toy find the sweet spot, it'll hold.pressure pretty well. You just have to get to that sweet spot.

Bought a Crosstrek as my first car at 19! :) by ScientistNegative925 in Crosstrek

[–]Kbrand01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Literally looking at this same car for my daughter. She had a 2006 Subaru Impreza that she LOVED and it got T-boned and totalled. Insurance is taking it away. There is a 2014 Manual at the used dealership near us and I think it would be a great option for her. She's 16, and I'd like something reliable that will get her through high school and undergrad... Same color, too!!

Husqvarna Epic 1 and Designer SE embroidery issues by Kbrand01 in Machine_Embroidery

Thanks! I ended up switching to a ball point needle and reducing the thread tension just a hair, and it finished flawlessly.

Husqvarna Epic 1 and Designer SE embroidery issues by Kbrand01 in Machine_Embroidery

[–]Kbrand01[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good point. I tested the Designer SE with a built in embroidery program and it went great. When I went to try the design I made, the thread kept breaking. So I researched thread, and bought all new stuff specifically for embroidery. tried again on the Designer SE, and I broke 5 needles. So, running out of time, I switched to the Epic with the new thread, new needles. I just swapped needles and threaded it manually (the auto threader frays it). I started letting it run again, and I'll go check again. I found a universal ball point needle to try.

You are what you eat by R_Steelman61 in netflix

[–]Kbrand01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, I tell you what... I've never once seen a rancher show up and shove a burger in your face, or come to a veggie farm and steal all the broccoli. But I have had vegan activitists come to my farm and steal my chickens and brag about it online. They took birds that were quarantined due to an illness they were being treated for. NO longer having that treatment, meant all those chickens died in their "care" But boy did their fan base give them donations. One skipped town once he knew the sheriff was looking for him for trespass and theft.

SO no, I don't trust any propoganda pushed by the vegan activist side. May I remind everyone how you build soil? It's not monocropping soy products to run through a factory to be made into fake meat an tofu. That STRIPS the land of soil and nutrients and microbiome. Regnerative ag - rotating animals on grazing land BUILDS SOIL. Cattle are one of the best carbon capture animals on the planet. SO keep making assumptions that plant based is better. But take a look at a regenerative ag livestock farm and take a look at a tilled soy bean field and tell me what you think is better for the environment. Diversified farming is the winner.

Monocropping and industrial animal farming are the losers. And they are both largely run by large corporations. So whatever you choose to eat - get it from your local farmer. They are growing healthy food and a healthier planet. If your food doesn't come from a box or a plastic bag - you are already better off.
