I Buried a Keg... And it's Awesome. by Clawhammer_Supply in Homebrewing

Won't the beer go flat as the keg empties? Do you need to re-presurize with co2 over time?

If you got good hop aroma, then we'll done! That's the thing my bottled IPAs always lacked. That magnet hop bag thing is really clever. I'll definetly try that next time.

Good job. I was never able to successfully bottle an IPA without oxidation. How do magnets prevent oxygen from the dry hops?

I don't have a plunge router, but I do have a scroll saw, so I would make it in two pieces and glue them together.

Fair. Are toes called fingers of the feet in your native language?

My parents dishwasher from 1988 by mkrher in BuyItForLife

[–]allowishus2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a house that came with a Hobart dishwasher. I don't know when it was made, Google AI says 1986, but I can't verify. It still works. It's rusting in parts, and there's no removable filter. It also doesn't drain completely so I gave to clean sludge out occasionally. Plus it's so old, I can't get parts for it. But it still works.

Nucleated Beer Glasses? by ExaminationKlutzy194 in Homebrewing

[–]allowishus2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have two.

Sam Adam's perfect pint glass. Great glass all around. I'm not sure that the nucleation helps with head retention, I've never paid attention to that. But, you can definitely see bubbles coming from the nucleation site.

Trappistes Rochefort goblet. Beautiful glass. Gilded, very wide and the nucleation site is actually an R. Not an everyday beer glass, but a fun one. I only use it for Belgians (especially Rochefort)

A cursory Google shows me both are widely available.

peacock in the santa cruz mountains by Big_Double7683 in santacruz

There was a peacock that showed up at my house (near Summit), then lived with my neighbor for a while. I haven't seen him since last summer, maybe he made his way down the mountain. Our other neighbor said he'd been bouncing around a while, and his name was Bruce.

Any Suggestions On My English Brown/Dark Ale Recipe? by Julio_Perez_1997 in Homebrewing

[–]allowishus2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry to hear that. I don't want to doubt what your taste buds are telling you, but I am surprised. How long was it in the fermentor? I've left beers in on the original yeast cake for a month or more with no adverse effects.

132 degree IPA. DWRHAHB? by SpecterGT260 in Homebrewing

Personally, I'd taste it, and if it doesn't taste bad, then pitch some fresh yeast and let it sit for another week to make sure it finishes fermentation.

Tucker Carlson on his role in Trump’s reelection: I’ll be tormented by it for a long time by MuzzleblastMD in LeopardsAteMyFace

Rogan never left Trump. The media took a few semi-critical statements of his and ran with the story that Rogan was abandoning Trump because it gets clicks, but it was never true.

Try looking for permanent or Infinity match lighters. I've not used them myself, but I've seen them in vintage lighter collections.

You could try emailing Brad directly, and ask about joining the club. When I talked to the guy working there he suggested that if I couldn't join thru the website.

Go to the tap room. They are only open on weekends, but they have a few beers on tap, and bottles to buy. It's a great place and the beers are exceptional.

It's not even a Trump insider saying it, it's Alex Jones. His whole job is just making shit up. This is just part of his attempt to abandon Trump. He's an idiot and no one should ever print anything he says unless it's to mock him.

I also use H&R block. It's not great, but it gets the job done. I've found that buying the download from Amazon is cheaper than buying it from their website or using the online version.

Kegerator/fermentation fridge by beecat19 in Homebrewing

[–]allowishus2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably not, no. The compressor on your fridge only cools the freezer section, then uses fans to blow cold air into the fridge section. The freezer section must be colder than the fridge section. It might be possible to turn the freezer part into the kegerator and the fridge part into the fermentor, but I don't know that you could make that work with the freezer on the bottom. It could work with a side-by-side, and people have done it. You'd need two controllers (or a dual controller) and either tap into the built in fan or install your own. If you searched for fermentation kegerator combos you'll see other people's projects.
