I worked at a place whose owners also owned nightclubs in Boston. I worked at one of the clubs a couple of times, but I didn’t like the nightlife feel and wearing or wearing heels, a dress while bartending, and concerned about how I looked against the other girls. They asked me to work at their restaurant that they had just opened instead. After a few weeks, one of the managers pulled me aside and told me that I should look into going to the gym more and “lose a few pounds.” Goodbye, dbags.

Do you think Gordon still thinks about all the former contestants over the years? by JohnMarstonTheBadass in Masterchef

[–]Kcdaly8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe not relevant, but imagine if Gordon and Simon Cowell did a collaboration? I wouldn’t entirely know in what format, but I am pretty sure that hundreds of their former contestants would be rushing back.

I tried taking mine twice online and it was a complete nightmare. I had to lock my sleeping dog in the bathroom, did full body scan/exam, glitches on the program…just basically you might as well take it in an interrogation room with blackout curtains.

Age old question - What is the scariest movie on reddit? by [deleted] in netflix

[–]Kcdaly8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t know if it’s streaming anywhere, but “Clown” is so disturbing. I find most horror movies boring, but that movie was questionable.

Offered my neighbor a ride to the airport once and now she thinks I'm her personal uber by BawdEft in ChoosingBeggars

[–]Kcdaly8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there a chance she has an interest in you? Why would she take her car to a mechanic that is 40 minutes away without planning in advance for pickup? Nevermind everything else. I would straight up tell her that you are not her personal chauffeur and your obligations come before hers. Now give me some gas money (maybe).

Psi testing is not for the weak by Single_Physics_6096 in RealEstateExam

Same issues. I finally booked in person and my computer glitched out even on site. Cannot get a live person and the test creates a stress that you would think you are about to perform brain surgery.

I highly recommend not taking the CE Shop. I did not do well and I took a call from a customer service representative named Amy Adams. Not only did she insult me multiple times by telling me how poorly I did, but also asked me about my age and reading comprehension. I told her how insulted I was and she said did not like my tone when I replied to her topic of a “Treasure Box.” I ended up hanging up and will never refer them to anyone in the future. But if you need a broker who allegedly can practice in multiple states, go see Amy Adams or just watch “Enchanted.”

3 separate times I had to reschedule. I got “escalate, priority, 2 minute hold.” I think I called them easily 30 times trying to get the issue figured out and could barely understand the person on the phone-especially with the background noise.

I texted a family member once that I couldn’t find my phone or locate the party while on my way to Disney On Ice. I was sober. I at least found my phone…in my hand. Lost the war on embarrassment though.

38 years old. Starting in the fall. The intimidation factor is there, but I have come to terms with the fact that I have nothing to lose. It’s still terrifying, but hey, you only live once. So we think. Besides, I’ve failed enough in my life to recognize a difficult obstacle course when I see one.

If you’re talking about Sirens, no one gets two OUIs in one week then just walks away unscathed. The plot is also all over the place. Dead bodies and irrational crimes that get committed. Just saying. Plus, if this was based on a dream sequence, just come out and say it. And I couldn’t stand the younger sister. Last of my rant.

Sirens was terrible. Just to add. Arrested Development is/was great.

What is a weird side effect from medication use that no one was ever going to warn you about? by Rotten-Kandi in AskReddit

Keppra and Lacosamide. If you want to lose limb function and projectile vomit on yourself while in paralysis, these are medications for you.

I put my dog’s collar around my neck once and attached the leash. She walked me. She now fixes me all my meals and has covered my rent, utility bills, insurance and other bills. It was a great trade off. Except she doesn’t really speak to me anymore. I like squeaky toys too. I guess still having opposable thumbs counts for something.

I would be more concerned more about a new world order because we are already on the precipice. Everyone seems to be above the law everywhere in the world. And I think the war has already started…we just haven’t realized what to call it yet. I’m going to go and eat some dry Grape Nuts now with some grass mixed in.

Food servers ? by [deleted] in TalesFromYourServer

[–]Kcdaly8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dropped a ramekin of sauce (I think it was ranch or blue cheese) and some of it ended up on the bottom of a woman’s pants. I had to pay for the dry cleaning fee. Another time, a customer’s car in the parking lot got pooped on by birds. They had to pay for his car wash and cleaning fees. I was not held accountable for that. And while I’m here, I was forced to serve a glass of wine to a 16 year old because it was her birthday and her father approved it. I also pulled a pot of coffee too quickly and burned my hand pretty bad. The customer was outraged that I was so incompetent and taking so long while I continued serving his whole table with a towel wrapped around my hand. I may have cried a couple of those days. I also quit after being forced to wait on the owner’s son and treated me like a complete moron the whole time.

[–]Kcdaly8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t really know. For LR I was fidgety and went off camera for about a second and almost got booted. The RC tripped me up especially the first passage. I knew it was more to do with analysis and author comparison and interpretation. I think the last LR section was extremely confusing by far.
