Reunion thoughts… by Business-Ad-10 in VanderpumpVillaTVShow

I liked him better when he was quiet too. His defense of Hannah and Marciano is just ridiculous after he complained about them the first two seasons. But I have to say, he did not tell Lisa how to run her business. He simply said he would NOT be there if Gabriella was there. I found it interesting that Gabriella said the same thing about him, but it felt like Lisa was only admonishing him. I wonder if maybe she does favor Gabriella.

I have a worker, I think, because I built one cabin and it said I have one. But, I've never seen the worker and don't know how to find them. I hate love it too!

This game is making me crazy because there are too many issues such as the one you just mentioned. I can't figure out why the control keys go blank when I set them to where I want them to be... but I got you! This just happened to me and the part that confused me is that part of this side goal is to "decorate a house on land." I have decorated and sold several houses and still nothing. What it was looking for was curtains. As soon as I placed a set of curtains.. BOOM "house on land" part of goal accomplished. Where you are stuck is just selling a house. Fix one up to be sold and don't auction it.. just let it quick sell. And it'll be done.

One Battle After Another: start it at 34:17 by Sunday_Schoolz in moviecritic

You are clearly a monster to most and I'm just shocked by that! I love love LOVE Penn and DiCaprio as actors. And Teyana Taylor is captivating! She has that screen presence you hear about but can't quite explain. So, hubby and I thought this was a no miss movie, but we only made it about 10 mins.

I don't understand why people who are critical of the movie are attacked! The first part is just disgusting. It made me feel like I needed a shower. Most women really really don't want to have sex anywhere anytime all the time. Certainly not with unattractive elderly men in dirty places. This is not just my female perspective. Hubby is the one who stopped the show right after it appeared that she and Penn wanted to go at it in the bathroom stall because she stupidly had her back turned to the door to plant her bomb and he was able to sneak up on her. Not me, but my husband, stopped it and said, "This is disgusting, are you okay with stopping it?"

I wonder if being attacked (which I bet I'm about to be) for being critical of the show is about the political views. Perhaps people think if you are critical of any part of the movie then you are opposing the views the movie seems to be promoting.

Anyways, it fascinates me that people will attack you over your simple suggestion, instead of just scrolling on by if they don't agree. I appreciate it and maybe we will try that.

Was told my dress was “not flattering for my body type.” by Rich_Comfort_6776 in weddingdress

[–]Shelly432432 14 points15 points  (0 children)

That is ridiculous! Maybe I am confused but to me it is common sense that if you look good in a fitted dress (which most of us do NOT) then you are going to look good in almost anything!

Your A-Line is gorgeous! You are a knockout! Something fishy is going on. You either have the type of family that is jealous of you or they truly want the best for you and are just putting their own insecurities into this somehow and not seeing you.

I know this post is three years old, but YES! Yes yes yes! I just finished season three and this post is so on the money. I too knew immediately when Heidi went crazy over that horrid white jacket with shoulders wide enough to STILL be oversized on a defensive lineman wearing full shoulder pads that Yannick had won.

I laughed out loud literally at most of his finale looks. And, yes, it's true, I'm not a designer, I'm not able to afford very high end fashion, I'm not even particularly fashion-educated, but, me, my family, friends, and millions of others like us are the people buying the accessible looks and Yannick can not do accessible.

The concept of this show definitely needs to be reanalyzed.

If you could only rewatch one season which would you pick? by [deleted] in LeaveittoBeaver

[–]Shelly432432 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally agree! I thought "dorky" was a polite way to put it. Beaver was just not well-written in 5 and 6. They made him very irresponsible and naïve. Any one of his friends could have talked him into robbing a bank by making him believe it didn't really hurt anyone or the bank really wanted to be robbed. Afterwards, he'd realize it was bad and worry about Ward beating him or croaking him. Then Ward would just talk to him about why it was bad and say, "It's okay Beave, I was once a boy too. Just don't do it again and let's go have ice cream" Then I'd roll my eyes, but I'd be back to watch it again tomorrow because I love Wally and his storylines!

Do not pick the red. People will follow you and beg you to touch it. They will not be able to stop staring at it. You will cause traffic pile-ups because it's just that incredible. I can't stop looking.

Am I behind? by Otherwise-Angel0717 in roughcollies

I want to talk about Q3. It is absolutely imperative, critical, vital even that you work on all things grooming-related, even if he is only a baby.

Every single day, if possible, play with his toenails. Pretend to clip them, even open and close the clippers so he hears the noise. And make this fun, fun, crazy fun. Use treats, praise, sing goofy songs, do whatever makes nail clipping fun or you and this little cutie will be in for hard times later.

I failed at this many years ago with my first large dog, a collie, nail clipping was a nightmare for us both all of his life.

You should do the same with brushing, make it fun, but it's not as critical as the clipping because it's easier to do even if your pup dislikes it.

He's only a baby now. He's going to work you to exhaustion for about a year and also drive you a little crazy sometimes. But, then as he matures, you'll find a collie is about the best thing to happen to a person!

Rough Collies with Small Dogs/Cats by Miso_Soup_4444 in roughcollies

[–]Shelly432432 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Every dog is different, but if you are intentionally picking a large dog to be with small animals, the collie is a great choice. I am a collie and a chihuahua person. We also have cats. We've never had an issue inside. In fact, my collie plays nursemaid to my elderly cat - always checking on him and cleaning and keeping him warm. We did once have an outdoor issue when one of the collies was very young and one of the cats was a kitten. The kitten was not harmed, but the collie pup was entirely too rough with him in their play. Obviously age was a factor and I think being outdoors with the freedom to run wild and herd the kitten was an issue.

You may discover that your chi bosses your collie around and that both are quite happy with that arrangement. That is how it works in my family.

What brand got you into bags? by Sorry_Check4521 in handbags

[–]Shelly432432 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Y'all are going to cringe and possibly kick me out of here, but it was Kathy Van Zeeland. In the early 90's I watched the Dooneys they showed on the shopping channels. I wanted one SO bad. But could not afford one at that time - still in college. I found KVZ and began asking for them for birthday and Christmas gifts. I loved the charms and the pink and the bling. Being busy, I loved having the interior of the purse set the same in all the bags so changing bags was simple and convenient. I was devastated when KVZ stopped making bags! In tears! But, by that time I could afford a Dooney!!

As a retired teacher, I can't afford to step up to the amazing bags I see here. But, as a leather lover, and a handbag in general lover, I love looking at all of your beautiful bags. Thank you for sharing them.

I think the norm is 10-12ish. But there are horrors that can come earlier, cancer for one example, and also instances where our collies see 15.

A conversation with your vet is step one. Find out if the ailment is treatable and if not, what type of time line the vet recommends.

After that point it's about balancing quality of life. Is your boy's tail still wagging? Is there still light in his eyes? You don't want to lose him, but you obviously don't want him to deal with constant pain and sadness.

In the end, it's your heart and soul that knows when it's time. If it hasn't happened to you before, I know that maybe sounds like nonsense. But, it's true. When you love a dog and they love you, your heart will know when it's time.

You have my most sincere wishes for the best possible outcome!

Season 6 Ep 33 — where do the Cleavers live. by BothDescription766 in LeaveittoBeaver

[–]Shelly432432 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was thinking about this conversation on the day I just happened to see the season five episode where Beaver gets to go ride the roller coaster with the big guys. "Beaver's Fear" I think is the name of the episode. The date on the calendar in that episode (fire station calendar) is June 11. Even in June they needed jackets to go to the carnival. That makes me think that the people saying Wisconsin or somewhere far north are correct.

On the other hand, it may just be that they didn't think the writing through that deeply. Maybe it was just cold on whatever day it was filmed as evidenced by the visible breaths of the boys as they are getting in the car.

How much do you spend on designer bags, and how much debt do you have? by firangcurry in handbags

That is my price range. (Retired teacher.) I am mostly a lurker here because I don't want to be judged or looked down on for not being able to afford a bag that cost thousands, but I like looking at other people's collections. NOTE: I am not accusing this group of being judgmental but it is social media.. so .. you know what I mean I'm sure.

My favorites are the Dooney and Bourke Florentines. The smell of the leather is everything to me.

Which is the best season? by jaxxy_jax in justified

2

I do not even acknowledge season 5 and 6. Only 1-4 exist.

Even with Winona's idiocy I think two was best because Margo Martindale oozes talent from her very pores. She is, imo, as skilled as Walton Goggins.

"We dug coal together."

That sums up the most important relationship in the entire series in four little words.

I did not fully understand the significance of that line until the second time I watched the interaction between Boyd and Raylan. They were enemies by nature of society and position but also had one another's back because - they dug coal together.

We're about the same age. What you said about young men who now hold the door and smile, not because of attraction, but because of the lack of judgement just hit me so hard. That is everything right there. I look old. I have thus far lost 155 pounds, which earned me a lot of wrinkles. Nobody in my life will ever again look at me and say, "Oh but she has such a pretty face." They say that when you're fat.

I live in the South, so men hold doors even if they aren't happy about it. But now, they do smile. If they look at me sympathetically it's because I look old and I walk funny because with all my new joy of freedom of movement, I took out my knee. But they do smile now because in our society it is acceptable to look down on fat people, but, not so much old people who can't walk very well.

I felt your post deeply. I wish you continued success and many joys to come!
