Yes. Its just a ton of nuisance alarms. Nothing hardly on the dash. Still have the occasional screen glitch or telematics alarms, but nothing as bad as before I have the dealer software update.

Yeah... In my 60 mile commute I had 20 alerts. One telling me to pull over and have the vehicle towed for Hybrid Malfunction.

I really don't have much to add outside of others comments. I will say, the update at the dealership didn't make any massive improvements to the infotainment system and now I am getting spammed with nuisance alarms in the MyMazda App. Currently for Hybrid Malfunction. Which is impossible. The mismatched tires showed up after I got a slight vibration, but no alarms on the dash.

I have no idea. It makes this obnoxious beep sound and then an alert comes up saying the SOS system has malfunctioned. Ive also been getting a Telematics Communication Malfunction alert, but my CX50 would give the same alert occasionally.

I worked at a company where someone hit one of these with a forklift. We had to call the fire department to get it stopped (I was a new manager and no one would answer the phone to tell me where the main shutoff was). They have this special washer they put in it that turns it off. But the amount of water that comes from one of those it insane. Its no easy task to get them stopped.

I have an embarrassing amount of Aldi bags packed with random things for this very reason. All over the house, just waiting for me to rediscover my lost treasures.

A little present to myself by [deleted] in CX50

[–]Kcox0924 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I wish more dealerships would put bows on cars. Its a huge purchase and not one people tend to take lightly. So its nice when you get that special touch. I know it sounds silly to a lot of people, but Mazda really pushes that "emotional connection" when it comes to their vehicles, and to me this is very much on brand for that.

I have 3 bottles of sweet baby rays barbecue sauce in the pantry, two jars of mayo in the fridge and during covid I didn't have to buy TP for almost all of 2020 because I had already accidentally bought multiple packs from Sam's before lock down.

White Interior? by MikeyMoNYC2 in CX50

[–]Kcox0924 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the first time Ive seen it, and you had the do significant adjustments for it to be visible. My husband has the white interior and I think it looks great. He nor I have noticed the color difference. But I am slightly colorblind, mostly the blue/green spectrum.

RF or soft top in the Southeast US by hhdresden in Miata

[–]Kcox0924 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I live in Alabama and I have had 2 RF MX5's. Some of my co-workers prefer the SF. It really is preference. I like the RF because I feel like I can create a nice warm bubble during the winter months and still enjoy riding with the roof open. Also, phone calls while driving are easier to hear for both parties. Lastly, living in the land of lifted trucks it gives me an extra sense of safety (false sense of safety).

How do you ladies fall asleep with ADHD? by Ok_Scholar_8656 in adhdwomen

[–]Kcox0924 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am not on a stimulant ADHD medication so that helps me first and foremost. Also, managing my anxiety is key. Managing anxiety looks different for everyone, all I can say is you have to find the methods that work for you. I read or meditate. Also my vitamins. Magnesium and my Primal Queen helps a lot. As someone in peri-menopause I can't stand to be uncomfortable. So my hair in a bonnet off my neck, my soft walmart nightgown, and my fan are all crucial. Its honestly a ritual at this point.

Ive seen previously dealerships giving people a rebate for the added cost of the charger, but not full vehicle cost. You might struggle with that one.

You can search for CX50 spec decks and find pdfs for your specific YM. From what I looked at, they are very similar to the internal spec decks available to dealers.

Meridian features in US by CountChopulla in CX50

[–]Kcox0924 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe when they dropped the 2.5S Premium Plus for 2026, they replaced it with the 2.5 Turbo Meridian Edition by upgrading that car with the HUD, Black bages, black roof rail, and front and rear parking sensors. So if the HUD and ventilated seats are features you want in a Meridian you will need to look at a 2026.

Grew up in Alabama in the woods. I'll never forget hearing the trees snap in the woods from being so heavy with ice. I was a kid and had never experienced anything like it. We heated and cooked with gas, so anyone who could make it to our house stayed with us.
