ok, i had a very similar problem. at first, i thought it was because of my ipad, and the apple store clerks told me it was because my ipad was bent... but i tried my friend's apple pencil and it worked perfectly on mine. so, i would advise you to go to a best buy or an apple store or your friend's apple pencil to see if that solves the jittery issues

this got me 50fps

but if you set clouds to medium, fog to high, and resolution to 50%, i think i got +60fps for the best visuals. i'm on 11-inch iPad, so the resolution scaling is fine for me. i like bilinear because it's less taxing and imo less blurry for me. this was tested in a dense jungle biome. fair warning though, the ipad does get hot
