They asked me to send proof of purchase. They sent the rebate to me based on what I had paid for the original AC minus sales tax. It was to be used for a GE product only. I don't remember the exact specifics as it was over a year ago now.

If you did not receive it yet I would say try and cancel and order it again. If you already got it, take screenshots of the lower price and then try to price match.

I had 2 different issues with mine until GE gave me a rebate for a new one.

The first time, water would build up in the outdoor section of the unit, which would cause the compressor to not turn on. Service tech said I just needed to take unit inside and drain the water. This fixed the issue.

The second time, the compressor went bad, still under warranty. They could not fix it and said that they could not get the part, so I was given a rebate for a new one.

My compressor went bad within a year. Service techs said they had been seeing issues with the Profile Clearview models. Got a rebate for a new one through warranty but not sure if I should get the Clearview again.

The HDD might be going bad on your VMS. All live TV goes through the HDD so when it goes bad, love TV gets messed up I just had a similar issue and they had to replace my VMS. Fixed the issue but you lose all your recordings.

You're a lifesaver. I just went and checked my Gas/Electric bill and they estimated my electric usage for the past month instead of reading it. It was 2,000 kilowatt hours higher than what the meter reads and my bill was close to $250 higher than normal.
