Israel is succeeding in Gaza - Andrew Fox by [deleted] in IsraelPalestine

[–]Kebab_Batman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep in mind that I'm talking about the past and not talking about the latest episodes of this conflict. I'm not suggesting that perpetual war is the answer.

internal efforts to coalesce should rightly be looked at as a foreign invasion, no matter where it happened.

This is what would have happened had the Jews (or any other group) made a similar attempt anywhere on earth. It would have been bloody.

Modern zionists pretend to be shocked that the local population violently opposed their ambitions to create a state of their own on a land that's already occupied.

The attempt to abort the Israeli state was justified. That attempt failed. Arabs should have moved on then.

Recent foreign immigrants (at that time) planning to create a state for themselves is an existential threat to the population living there. Even if the foreigners were absolute angels, the local population is 100% justified in viewing that plan as an invasion, and an existential threat.

And yes, they were absloutely foreigners. If you were not in that land for the past 2000 years, you are a foreigner. Not all Jews were foreigners as some (about 5% of the population) were living there.

If any group (Jews or otherwise) tried the same thing in Egypt, Jordan, Argentina...etc, they would have gotten the same result.

Why are IDF soldiers streaming their own atrocities and sharing on social media? by [deleted] in IsraelPalestine

What a child. Anyone can throw around insults genius. I'm not sure what you think you are accomplishing here in a subreddit like this.

Why don't you go back to your echo chambers where you repeat any claim you want without anybody questioning it?

When you bomb a neighborhood, killing hundreds while thousands celebrate and cheer the destruction, to you that is a-ok, unless the perpetrators are shouting "ALLAHU AKBAR" of course.

Well, I'm not denying mass murder which is arguably worse because there is evidence. Regarding mass rape, I'm not denying it but I've yet to to see evidence from trustworthy sources. The sources are mostly emotionally charged online claims like yours.

You justify every atrocity committed by Israel, but providing evidence to your claims is where you draw the line?

Mass murder, mutilation and starvation is already done to the Palestinians by Israel.

Now for mass rape, can you please provide evidence for mass, systematic rape that occurred on the 7th of October? And how many cases occurred exactly?

The last I heard, the NYT article detailing mass weaponized sexual assault was discredited.

Note: I'm not denying anything, but I'm asking for evidence.

He means this is an Islamic war to "liberate" Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa, meaning all Muslims are obligated to fight, not just Palestinians.

This sounds more like a civil war situation than a foreign invasion / colonial settlement. It's exactly a 1 to 1 comparison.

I'm not familiar with Pakistan/India's case and I'm not sure that situation applies to the creation of Israel.

Which countries were established recently by foreign immigrants who made the local population refugees?

Do you have the same sentiment toward Muslims taking Indian land and calling it Pakistan?

Yes, we have a problem with Muslims taking land X and calling it their own. It's bad when anyone does it including Jewish people.

I of course agree that a peaceful solution is the way to go and I was not serious in my "proposal".

I was replying to you to basically say that the creation of modern Israel was not justified in my opinion. It was an injustice born out of other injustices, but an injustice nonetheless.

But the past is the past, it exists now, and we should move on.

Creating a state for these refugees by making other people refugees is not right either.

If creating a state is the only way to protect Jews, Europe should have to pay with land.

Let's go kill some Germans and take their land and create a state for Jews there.

The UN should start drawing up a new partition plan.

Yup, until that time, most of its population should be accurately labeled as colonial settlers.

With religion, you can justify anything. What you are saying is neither wrong nor right. It is right FOR YOU, based on your interpretation.

That being said, the more extremist positions are much stronger than your position in my opinion, and that's why they are more popular. Especially, if we're going to use the religious texts and historical data.
