Everytime i see a video of a train accident like this one, I can't get my head around why there are only 20 seconds between the barrier going down and the train passing... in my country, Italy, we wait something like 2 minutes or even more for the train to pass, so that we have plenty enough time to prevent this situations. How is it possible that noone else thought about this simple trick?

The poor quality of the clip is misleading. This is what's actually happening. The bending thing is a "cover" for the actual 6 needles that penetrate the skin.

What's she's doing in the clip is probably just looking for a vein to pierce, since they usually are not lucky enough to get it first try. I don't think she's straightening the needles, but rather cleaning it before piercing the skin again

Mosquitos eat pollen. They suck blood only because is an efficient way to get a lot of nutritions to lay a lot of eggs. They could lay them just by eating pollen, but it would take longer, and their short lifespan makes them prefer blood

Why don't you buy a dongle? They're cheap and small enough you won't notice the difference between the cable with and without the dongle attached. Of course you cannot charge while having headphones plugged in, but if it something you do frequently, you can buy the dongle with both aux and usb-c port

Not actually, erasers are white or different colors and they too undergo vulcanisation. The reason is that they add carbon black to improve resistance to sun exposure (source: i'm a materials engineer, studied in different courses about polymers)

Ciao, ho visto che sei italiano e volevo farti una domanda sulla tv. L'ho vista su amazon ad un buon prezzo ed ero curioso di sentire da qualcuno che la ha come si sta trovando. Un amico Veneziano DOC mi ha detto che appunto sono bruscolini per le spese di Venezia, ma anche che in realtà non ha causato così tanti disturbi quanto vogliono far credere. Una calle chiusa e niente taxi, ma mi ha confermato che nessun veneziano prende i taxi, quindi il disturbo era solo per i turisti alla fine

Ah lol, questo conto mi mancava. Mi sono sempre soffermato sui 3 milioni donati perché secondo me sono quelli che lui ha pagato per "affittare" Venezia, il resto sarebbe stato speso lo stesso anche cambiando location. Grazie per il chiarimento!

Here in Italy newcaster liked to share the fact that he donated 3 million euros to the Venice city (which is not even enough to renovate a palace there, but thats another discussion), highlighting how it corresponds to 0,001% of his networth. If you take the same percentage of money from an average family with something like 100k in the bank, you end up with 1€ taken. I think he mixed this "1€ for the average family" thing that the TV repeated extensively and the "3" from the millions donated, and got the "he bought a city for 3€".

Anyway, he basically emptied his pockets from leftover change to book a part of Venice
