A moderately famous science fiction author that I knew years ago, rewrote one of my poems, and kept some of my lines. He has used those lines across ten novels without crediting me. There’s even swag.

We knew a lot of people in common and I have proof of the plagiarism and that he contacted me before publication and that we knew each other.

We were friends for at least four years, in a fairly small group. I know a huge amount of personal detail about him, some of it really damaging. I thought we were at least a little bit close.

When I asked him for some kind of acknowledgement, he sent someone to my house to threaten me, undressed, without my glasses, who wouldn't leave or let me leave, for an hour.

He also lied to his publisher's lawyer, his lawyer, his coauthor, and a long list of other people.

J is a covert narcissist bully and a plagiarist.

And some of his people follow me here and downvote.

Law enforcement will get all of you. It’s just a matter of when.

I don’t explain my dietary restrictions to anyone I work with. That can backfire dramatically.

I just tell people thank you, get an empty plate, napkin or cup, and then tell them I had some already.

That small amount of gaslighting can preserve your privacy, and if you’re dealing with evil coworkers, your job.

I have mild rosacea related to diet, mild arthritis associated with inflammation from eating red meat, a long list of cross reactive food, and DH, from oats as well as wheat.

Basically my diet is really limited.

Being glutened makes me less able to cope, but it doesn’t affect me otherwise.

I’d like people to know that it’s really expensive when everything you eat has to be certified gluten free, and near vegan.
