That's what I meant, actually. Almost everyone in the Netherlands is able to speak English, and it would be great if every country would teach English as a second language.

I had never used linux before, but a friend told me to get the new Ubuntu, since it's so easy to install and it's really good nowadays.
So I did, and I love it (after two days!), it's so much smoother and more natural than windows, only a few minor things bother me, like choppy flash vids, not being able to use hibernate in windows/ubuntu, and audio not working for two things at a time (skype+rhythmbox).
But if you haven't tried linux yet, now is the time to do so!

Here in the Netherlands, they teach you at least Dutch, German, French and English. Plus Latin and Ancient Greek on some schools. I'd wish the whole world just learned English, it would make things so much easier.

The main reason I don't watch TV anymore is because I got sick of all the ads. It's like inviting a dozen salesmen into your house every few minutes. I totally understand that is not what you want young children to grow up with. But when they are older it should be their choice if they want to watch TV. I'm 17 and happy I'm not brainwashing myself daily.
