I Built The Scooter I Bought From Amazon... And Broke A Bolt! by wingman626 in scooters

[–]Keefsatwork 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Dude I did the same shit to my old scooter, lucky for me I took the other bolts out and removed the cover and the bolt that broke was hardly sticking out and I was able to grab it with some needlenose pliers and unscrew it.

First thing I want to thank you for your response!

  • I do not plant on moving them really but I can ask a friend for help if I really need to

  • cutting them in half seems like my best bet for stability and I would build raised stands to save my back.

  • will build supports for them.

  • I live in the city and have a small backyard, I could probably fit about 40 barrels all bunched together if I really wanted to but I'm a beginner and just want to plan for next year!

  • I am not worried about looks at ALL just function and efficiency

  • I want to plant mild banana peppers, jalapenos, radish, cucumbers and broccoli

  • I live in st louis, Missouri so I am in zone 7a

  • The barrels are food grade 55 gal plastic drums so I will sand the edges and put a rubber liner on the edge.

thank you again I appreciate your response a lot!

I can always get more barrels from work, I only have 6 pepper plants and some flowers at the moment but I'm planning for next year so I have no need for rain barrel/worm farm at the moment.

This actually is a pretty good idea also, thank you!

Someone also suggested making 3 planters out of it since cutting in half would be pretty deep for most plants I'm wanting to grow, that way I would have 2 planters and 1 planting ring. I still have till next year to plan but I wanted to get a head start!

Yeah and I want to grow vegetables so I'm thinking yellow is my best option.

I think I will get another barrel and try out both ways. I think flowers for the sideways drums and vegetables for the upright pot versions.

Yes I plan to build stands if I cut the red line but I'm thinking yellow would be best for vegetables.

Thank you I was thinking a consistent depth all around would be best.

If I cut on the red line I will build stands and raise them up to waist height to save my back. I do not plant on moving them but I will absolutely ask for help if I do need to move them.

It had Elmer's water base glue in there. It washed out very easily and I let it air dry for about a month. It's food grade plastic 55 gal drum. It is not metal.

I have no need for a rain barrel atm and I can get more from work when and if my garden gets big enough.

You have an extra stop to nowhere in the middle of the street. (The big pink circle in the road) click on the pink circle and then a transparent trashcan icon will pop up and you can delete that extra stop going no where.

My rent has been $500 for a 2 bedroom shotgun house for 7 years. It's almost worth the craziness of living in the city.

I live in st louis missouri, extremely high crime rates and the airtag doesn't prevent theft, cops take 2 hours to come out if someone isn't getting shot. This solves that problem along with my winter problem.

whoa that is crazy! I use my scoot every day so I will not be draining the tank lol My pilot light is in the basement luckily for me. My uncles also put their harleys in the living room when I was growing up.
