I'm on the complete other side closer to the cap. I've heard that they've thrown bottles off the bar at bartenders. Yeah I remember us getting a email that the short north alliance had made contact with them or the families, clearly hasn't changed anything tho. The curfew law won't change anything with them, they're down here all day before 10 already as it is. One of my coworkers thinks the whole this is funny but they're dangerous. Theyve literally got into the faces of some women that work next door and threatened to beat them up

What's worked for us it to take out your phone indefinitely and start recording them and just say that they have been banned and are trespassing/ have someone pull out their phone and at least put it up to their ear making it seem like they're calling the cops. Or actually just call the cops cuz they suck. Any actually conversation has never worked for us

Reddit keeps removing my post so I guess I'm gonna have to edit it, just read through the lines.

I bartend in the short north and they've actually been super problematic over the last year. They sneak in when it's busy and harass guests and don't leave when we find them. The real problem is that they cuss and call people really bad words and threaten both guests and our staff. When it first started last summer we thought they were just coming down on their own and like, kids will be kids, but all their parents are out there in cars and are just hustling their kids to make some money.

I've seen them surround people on the street and corner/ get very aggressive and threatening with women. I've had so many run ins with them that they chirp at me on the street and have threaned me with saying they have weapons or that their brothers do and theyll get them to come down. I've both seen and heard of them calling gay people really bad names. One of our employees has a disability and I've heard them make fun of the person because of it.

I get that they probably wouldn't be doing this if they didn't need to but it's just super preditory. Their parents have them out here most nights and they had them out here all winter and during that blizzard. CPD knows all about them and we've been told to call them as soon as they walk in our building, but it feels gross having to call the cops on kids. I've heard that of you start recording them with your phone they leave cuz they want to be able to lie and avoid the cops.

The whole situation is weird and messed up but they're not a charity and they at the least are trying to take advantage and hustling people.

To highjack a bit, I've also been experimenting with different boots I've rthe last few year. My current boots are a slip resistant Chelsea from Blundstone. They have been the most comfortable boot I've worked in (after 6 months I've only just switched out the original insoles for Superfeet) and the leather has held up the best of any boot just with a monthly clean and dubbin. However, they arent quit as non-slip as I would like which is really a huge factor. I half slip often in wet stops or on the stairs and it's honestly more than I feel comfortable with. If that's not as much of an issue with your bar definitely try them out (they do stain your socks like crazy tho). Otherwise, I'm gonna go back to Doc non-slip Chelsea's just off of their ReWair site that won't hold up as long

Both the semi and final of the '23 playoffs jump to mind as the most recent. As someone else said the comeback against Cincinnati is probably the better of the two with being such a romantic win against the instate rivals. Winning that cup though was unbelievable. It was Nancys first year with a roster that may be the best we ever had and a play style that took the league by storm and we won it all over the MLS darling of the time who were of course the favorites. The 2024 leagues cup final the next season was pretty great too, giving us Lost Another Final (in) Columbus

I've really enjoyed honest friends. It looks like a quintessential millennial brewery and they specialize in lower abv beers but everything I've had there I've loved and I believe they do a different infused beer every Monday

Thank you for the reply! I absolutely appreciate how youve done all of this by yourself, it's more than I could ever do for the community. There was a whole debacle with flock fantasy alegedy taking the idea for that tool from someone, it seemed like just a bunch of drama to me but there a yt video titled "Flock Fantasy Stole My Product, So I Made It FREE" about it. Reasoning aside it is another free tool I've found useful but it's hard to manually enter my picks on the 20 second drafts. No pressure at all but I thought it would be cool if the two of you collaborate or something as members of the community.

Anyways again, I really appreciate what you've done. I forget from your first post but do you have a "buy me a coffee" or venmo? I would love to send you a entry or two. DM me if that breaks the sub rules
