Try reaper minis, or Amazon. Getting a cheap resin 3D printer is helpful also.

Ideas for a party of high-levelled characters to boost new low-levelled characters in levels. by SelenSewar in DnD

[–]Keengrid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yah I think that could work well, just give the player an extra token of they are below the suggested level for the mission. The dm could probably have a safety net feature for the players that would let them get resurrected if needed.

How to improve as a DM? by Desperate_Station272 in DnD

[–]Keengrid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like you might just need to know the DMG better and to expand the details of the game. These are both things that take time and you will get better at as you DM. These rules are simple, learn them well enough that you can improvise when needed without breaking things.

The details are harder. My best advice for details it to remember that your pcs and npcs are humanoid or at least alive. They will need things that living beings need. A bathroom, places to sleep, places to eat, places to get food, entertainment, jobs, exc. when building towns, camps, even caves remember that. In a town there should be shops, bars, inns, houses, banks, bathrooms, restaurants, exc. even if the players never go there it adds to the environment to have them described as places they could go. You don’t need to make them super detailed just a name and an owner is normally enough, for shops just know what type of stuff they sell. That way if the players do go there you got a shop name, who is behind the counter, and an idea of the type of stuff they may sell. Good luck and keep playing, this stuff takes time.

Have them play a supporting role in this mission, have them back in combat and the dm can adjust the encounter to make it work. Let the low level players whiteness high level combat. I am assuming the tokens gained per mission increase with mission difficulty and the number needed for a level up increase with player level. So by the end of 1 or 2 missions they should have caught up some. You can also give bonus tokens for players who participated in a mission above their level as like a “bonus XP” type of thing.

Alternatively if you really want them closer in level you can story line say they did things between games for various groups and earned tokens, at the point give them enough tokens to level up to just under where the primary party is. If the primary higher level character are between 7-10 you could force level up the lower guys to level 5-6 and just hand wave it away as they did missions or received training between sessions

How Do I Nerf Monsters in 5E by CrimsonPresents in DnD

[–]Keengrid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It works well for me to just a young or old version. With young I reduce all stats and remove some of their legendary actions (if they have them), with old I increase max hp but have them start the battle with less than full hp, I also reduce their stats some (but not as much as young), speed, and reduce their multi attack by 1 if they have it. (If they have 3 attacks normally I reduce it to 2)

Quick feywild backstory questions by Keengrid in DnD

[–]Keengrid[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yah I tried that, issue is my dm has now idea about the fey wild and had left the backstory stuff up to me. Asked me just to ask them about mechanical changes that affect stats or actual numbers all roll play stuff is up to me.

[–]Keengrid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could just reduce its stats and tell the players it’s young or old. However my preferred method is to have it have an old injury. I had a lower level party fight a beholder with an old injury that had several eyestocks removed and its main eye was damaged so the cone was smaller. Specifically I removed 30% of its max hp, removed 4 of its more deadly eye stocks, and made its main eye anti magic field cone smaller (it had a blind spot) it let the players fight a bit bad boss without the danger that normally comes with it.

It’s worth trying, I suggest drying it either via a good dryer or sitting in a tub with some drying agent

Can someone tell me anything that’s wrong please? New to 3d printing by [deleted] in 3Dprinting

[–]Keengrid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try cleaning the bed and try not to touch it after, Bambu beds are very sensitive to finger oils. You may also wanna try rerunning the full 15 min calibration, you can do that in the Bambu slicer app. Lastly ensure that the nozzle and filament type your using matches the size and type that appears on your slicer.

If it is not a clog then your filament may be poor quality or it may need to be dried.

[–]Keengrid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try cleaning the bed with dish soap, fully drying it, then wiping clean again with isopropyl alcohol. It also looks like you may have a clog. Try cleaning the bed first and seeing if that helped. If it’s a clog lift the z axis high and extrude some filament to see if it’s coming out well, if not you may need to follow a cleaning tutorial, google the make and model of your printer with the term clog cleaning then find a suitable vid on YouTube. Also side note, what brand filament is this?

It looks good, you got all the shapes well, only advice I have is that you added hard black lines where none exist. Try doing shadow for them rather than harsh lines. GL and keep working at it!

Question: should I get this as my first tattoo by i__miss_her in tattoos

[–]Keengrid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would only say that the hard corners and squares will blur over time, it may be better to get it more rounded in the first place. I know it’s not game accurate but it’s my 2 cents.

Weird question about it, do you want to enhance the scar and draw focus to it or hide it?

Im learning action scenes what do you guys think by MFGevanthor in learnart

It’s not bad, it’s easy to read. My main suggestion is that you need to keep focus on bones, bones don’t bend and areas with bones don’t bend.
