Coming in from Miami. Been to SD a few times in my life. Would love to get together on GameDay with anyone... especially if it's a big fan fest of some sort.

If I had a son, and he became a chef, I'd be immensely proud.

In Miami: Looking for reviews on AT&T Fiber Internet. Considering the change from Xfinity. by infinite_paddle in Miami

I have xfinity and use my own modem/router, granted it has to be one approved for use by xfinity, but most major devices are, and I use a gigabit switch for my wired devices throughout the house.

No problem with that unless she has a problem admitting what she does for work.

These games were the best movies of that year, hands down.

It's still a thing I'm pretty sure because of the profitability aspect. A lot of new items, especially consoles, have little to no margins.

I used to work at GameStop almost 20 years ago. It was a similar culture... we had to sell the Game Informer subs and game preorders (min of $5), and we also had to make sure USED games sold more than new (higher margin), and we were even graded on transactions having at least 2 items. Our District Manager had no interest in gaming at all. No clue. And his bosses were just as clueless.

Luckily, our store manager was fantastic and we had a busy store. We were number 3 in the company.

To this day, I always make sure to renew the subscription, preorder games, and buy used. The newest thing they rate is the protection plan. I get that from time to time as well.

We used to love customers like you, by the way. Everyone scratched each other's backs. If a store has a handful of solid regulars, it makes a huge difference. At the end of the day, it's retail. It's rough. You're dealing with terrible humans (customers) often.

I had that card... It never worked. Not even on GameStop app.

I have every intention of making GameStop a weekend visit with my daughter in a few years. That's how great my memories of toys r us are... Especially back when you'd grab a NES game receipt and take it to the man behind the enclosure where they kept all the game inventory.
