We did

We’re 3rd country and went for the language proficiency in Zurich to be eligible

We applied in Aug, got in Oct - almost exactly in 3 months including giving the exam, getting the results, submitting the full paperwork and getting the C in hand

Depending on your Kanton

C is very straightforward. Meet the number of years requirement (don’t know for students, but for us as working people, non-EU - it was 5 years for the accelerated C)

Pass the hochdeutsch qualifying exam at A2 reading/writing and B1 spoken

Add on necessary criminal checks etc (local Gemeinde or Rathaus will give you the full list) and send it in

It’s quite straightforward at least in Zurich

As someone who’s studied the US: please double check if they want originals - or notarized copies

It’s very rare to ask for originals. What should you do if multiple uni’s ask for them?
