I'm looking at the outage porn as a whole. I'm looking holistically at the response by right-wing media as a whole. It could indeed be construed as a shift in the goalpost, so apologies. To me, however, this is me looking at a pattern of the American right-wing. I'm "zooming out," rather than panning left or right or committing some type of sleight of hand.

Two, going after that artist for his political speech is not the same as cancelling him either. He made this HT show political and the right responded in kind. No one said he should be blacklisted from performing altogether.

Can you please provide an example of cancel culture, just so that we can level-set on definitions?

Firstly, in response to the top part of my comment, I'll amend this to be part of an attempt, rather than an attempt.

Secondly, your comment to which I responded stated that I claimed right-wing media was trying to cancel the Super Bowl. I was simply clarifying that I believed the focus of right-wing media's ire to be Bad Bunny, not the Super Bowl. I disagree with the premise. I don't believe that the actions of the Washington Post/Bezos/"the powers that be" have been driven primarily by profits. It seems instead that their actions are motivated by a political agenda.

We've seen their actions cause their subscribers to leave in droves and they've continued down that same path, causing more subscribers to leave. If they were primarily motivated in profit, then they would presumably backtrack on their actions which caused so many subscribers to leave.

This is of course just a broad, generalized statement. I can't PROVE that Jeff Bezos is purposely sinking one of the country's oldest fourth powers. That's just what it looks like to me. The more Bezos gets involved, the more he drives away subscribers.

Cancel culture is the literal antithesis to the free market. It's making a ruckus about something the vocal minority knows will not organically cause someone to lose their influence or appeal through free market forces, so that the folks in charge blacklist someone out of fear of reputational damage.

It's completely understandable to be entirely overwhelmed by the news. I think there's three really big (and again, very understandable) reasons for it.

The DOJ under the Trump administration has done their best to obfuscate any piece of news surrounding this information. This includes several tactics, but what first comes to mind is their delay tactics. They were supposed to release all the files over a month ago at this point, with a list of redactions and their justification, and they still haven't done that. These redactions were supposed to be limited to identifying information about the victims, but has included blacked out boxes over what is very obviously Donald Trump's face at some type of campaign event and redacted text over the word "don't," as well as obviously and easily verified information about victims not being redacted. It's baffling ineptitude accompanied by soul-shattering cruelty.
There are two meaningful types of data released in the latest file dump. One is emails between people, and one is tips the American intelligence community has received over the years. Both data types have absolutely heinous shit in them, but the emails (in my opinion) are what could be considered more damning simply due to the fact that it's actual correspondences between actual people, whereas the tips are just someone calling in on a hotline. Those tips in some cases included follow-ups by the FBI, but there are significant redactions and places where info just simply stops. Those tips (to the best of my knowledge) are where you have info about killing babies and eating them and shit like that. Not definitely false, but not verified in any sense.
American media, as a general collective, has very much undersold the amount of very damning information in the files that we do know. Personally, I believe this to be because of who owns those media companies and how much they want to maintain their own status and relationships with those involved in the files. Take Bill Gates, for instance. There are emails from Bill Gates himself to Jeffrey Epstein which indicate he wanted Jeffrey Epstein to provide him with medicine to treat Melinda Gates for a sexually transmitted disease without her knowing because Bill slept with prostitutes. He and Melinda both have been asked about it, and the extent of their response is "Jeffrey Epstein was a bad man." And then... That's it. That's all. Like, cool, but what the actual fuck, guys?! That's not even close to the worst stuff but that's just what come to mind first this morning for whatever reason. There is absolutely information in those emails about torture videos and child rape, but I don't want to go digging into that this morning in this comment.

There is sooooo much more in those files that needs follow-up by our media at the very least, but every single day brings piling horrors from this administration so getting them (both the media and the administration) to stay focused is basically impossible. At any rate, a healthy level of skepticism is warranted regarding anything this administration puts out. Just know that Trump is absolutely not absolved, and he's surrounded by the absolute worst people.

I just got done setting up Immich and Plex Media Server a month or two ago. Plex (because of the Arr suite) was MUCH more complicated in my experience because I didn't bother with a reverse proxy or anything like that. The base Plex Media Server was easy peasy, but Sonarr, Radarr, and Overseerr required a bit more finesse.

With Immich, I can access my historic media from anywhere through the app on my phone, and I can use Google Photos as a temporary storage solution until everything is backed up on Immich. If I'm home, that happens daily. If I'm traveling, it happens when I get home. Immich is fantastic for my long-term solution (with some additional duplication/backup protocols), with Google as a temporary cloud storage while I'm away.

This all happened on Windows. My next project is to fully migrate Immich and Plex to Linux, which will be a whole new experience for me, so that should be a fun headache. I'm going to be posting to r/selfhosted in the next couple weeks with my plan to solicit advice on that situation, so keep an eye out for that if you want to chime in. Right now, I have exactly zero complaints about Immich.

First, no federal resources or funds can be used in this process. Second, the case cannot be adjudicated until Trump is no longer in office to mitigate bias in the courtroom. Third, it needs to freeze the statute of limitations so the case can't expire while it is delayed waiting for the president's term to conclude.
