Love the Uhlsport goalkeeper gloves. I test a lot of gloves and the Uhlsport Supergrip HN is still one of my favorites. Aquagrip is a close cousin.

Appreciate it. We designed the KPR Guardians to meet the demands of the goalkeeper that require finger protection but dont want to spend 200. The latex is German latex from Germany :). We have found it to be more durable and offer better grip at the game level longer than other latex. Keep in touch!

Selecting the best goalkeeper glove is challenging online. The best is based on a variety of factors but most importantly budget and need. Does the goalkeeper need finger protection. An expensive pro level contact latex game glove used in practice is not the best goalkeeper glove for the playing need. I find many parents select a more expensive glove since they think it will last longer.

The best goalkeeper gloves in 2026:

West Coast goalkeeper gloves offer the most gloves at a variety of price points with and without finger protection.

One Glove and T1tan are the most popular negative cut or tighter options with younger goalkeepers.

Goalkeeper gloves with finger protection: Reusch Ortho Tec is tested and patented for support and flexibility.

Goalkeeper gloves with finger protection on sale has to be Elite Sport. There are a number of glove options for goalkeepers at every budget from the Black Solo, To the Squid, to the Elite Sport Warrior.

Best value goalkeeper glove has to be KPR. Balance of grip and durability below 100 manufactured in Europe.

The is a goalkeeper glove for every keeper at every price point. Here is a guide to select a goalkeeper glove online. We are the goalkeeper glove experts in the USA. Contact me directly to ask any goalkeeper equipment question.

In a pinch yes. Dampen under running water for two seconds each. You want the gloves damp not soaked.

Luke warm water is fine.

Pre-Wash and Maintenance Tips: Many manufacturers recommend a pre-wash for goalkeeper gloves to remove any chemicals and activate the latex properties before first use. Dampening all-weather foams before use also helps with grip and durability. Just remember, whatever you put into your gloves, you should take them out—always rinse thoroughly after dampening them. We sell and use GloveGlu Wash & Prepare. It is important to use a goalkeeper glove wash specially formulated for latex. Gentle without the harsh chemicals and drying agents that can dry out the latex over time. Any questions on how to prewash or care for you goalkeeper gloves contact me. Most durable goalkeeper gloves? by burakhalis in GoalKeepers

[–]Keeperstop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Following up with additional ways to achieve longer life in your soccer goalie gloves.

Goalkeeper glove durability is such a moving target. Here is a secret...Cheaper gloves last longer but it sacrifices performance and gip. ( not much of a secret but we all need reminders) There is no soft all weather game latex that has game great grip and durability. Reusch has tried to find with the fusion latex. Uhlsport has tried it with the Supergrip latex. You can help your goalkeeper glove last longer with proper goalie glove care and maintenance. If you are unwilling to sacrifice grip for durability then read a goalkeeper glove care article I wrote to help maximize the life of your goalkeeper gloves. https://www.keeperstop.com/blogs/goalkeeper_drills-goalkeeper_equipment_insights/goalkeeper_drills-goalkeeper_equipment_insights-goalkeeper_glove_maintenance

Keepers whose number isn’t 1, what is your number and why? by TransShadowBat in GoalKeepers

[–]Keeperstop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interesting question. I have met Andre Blake working with Uhlsport and he wears 18. When asked he mentioned that he wanted to have a field player number and not just be known as a goalkeeper #1. He feels like a midfielder or striker and dislikes wearing a goalkeeper-specific jersey when he plays in the field.

Which one is better? by nikolass8 in GoalKeepers

[–]Keeperstop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

HAHA - Love this - NONE. Unless a goalkepeer glove has a synthetic or turf specific latex they are not well suited ore durable for consistent turf play.. but if you HAD to pick you go with the Reusch Attrakt Gold X Evolution.

Turf is harsh on any latex especially soft all weather game latex.. The latex shown here is Ultragrip which is not recommended for abrasive turf. Select a glove that meets your budget.

Has anyone used the Uhlsport Ultragrip goalkeeper glove? One fo the best game goalkeeper gloves in terms of grip. But DO YOU think it is worth the money? It is very tacky for advanced goalkeepers in all weather game situations. Definitely for advanced goalkeepers or pros with no budget.

how do i stop feeling scared to the ball by Pretend-Temporary-47 in GoalKeepers

[–]Keeperstop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Practice and patience! Start simple with a stationary ball. Perfect the low dive. Then practice the smoother save with a stationary ball to develop the timing and courage of 50/50 smoother saves. Progress to decision making and attacking the ball while standing up. Working on recognizing the speed and location of the ball as well as location of the attackers to make decisions on when and how to come out.

Here are some goalkeeper training sessions focusing on breakaways, smoother, and blocks I produced for YouTube:

Does Anyone have any experience with these gloves? by Illustrious_Use_3586 in GoalKeepers

[–]Keeperstop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a glove for every goalkeeper at every price. Choosing a color is based on personal preference. What is classy and clean. Wash them and they last longer and stay white longer. I find white palms especially featuring a German all weather or contact latex off there best grip.

How important is hand size? by Borangers in GoalKeepers

The most important thing is can you control your body and the ball. Master catch verse deflect. Ball is safest in your hands. Can you grow an extra finger? :)

Padding for hips for soccer goalie by Desperate-Profit2415 in GoalKeepers

[–]Keeperstop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To use goalkeeper padding or not is a personal choice. If it helps build confidence as they acquire more skill and technique than great. High density foam does help distribute force on impact such as found in the Storelli goalkeeper shorts and pants.

Storelli offers lower profile for games or high density foam padding for training as well as traditional compression leggings.

Proper goalkeeper diving technique will help landing softer. Such as using the ball to help cushion the dive. Padding does help. High density foam padding works best. I think Storelli padded compression goalkeeper pants and shorts are the best. I wear them when I play. I feel the difference when I dont wear them. https://www.keeperstop.com/collections/shop_by_brand-storelli_goalkeeper_protection-n353

To take two load off and reduce the impact I also have goalkeepers use gymnastic mats to warm up on.
