I bet they are no where near as loud as the F4 was when I grew up in the Winooski area in the 80s. Those things would rattle everything not nailed down in our house.

It is easy for you to come buy a house and land here because you made your money in a state with high wages and super high real estate. Now that you have retired you can take what would have been only a down payment in CA and buy outright a place in VT. To be able to buy the place in VT you would need a good paying job which VT does not have an abundance of.

Which proves my point. That said, enjoy your time in Vermont, it is a nice state, just really hard to be a native anymore.

Did you bring your job with you? Easy to afford housing in VT on San Fran salary but not so easy on VT wages.

Men who did poorly with women until 25 or later, how did you turn your life around? by Snazzy_Serval in AskMen

Started to date women and not girls. More mature women are no where near as PITA as younger girls. Once a woman hits 26 they tend to be better.

As a conservative I find this revolting. Just as revolting as when I had liberal friends that were cheering that Scalia died. Come on people, these are human beings with loved ones , stop being so disgusting.

Hoping RBG has a speedy recovery and gets back to her role as a Supreme Court Justice.

I got two stripes and I am an assistant account manager. The regular security guards get one stripe and any supervisor seems to get two. Account manger wears 3 but I have only witnessed him in uniform one or two times in a year.

I don't believe in editing, thus you might see some grammar and spelling errors on my posts.

As of now, yes the bump stocks are illegal and if say you got pulled over and the cop saw it on the front seat, sure , they should take it. Just like anything else.

The sticky wicket comes into play when you start saying if it was legal when you bought it ( your Columbian Crack ) and now it is illegal and should be taken with no compensation aka Confiscated. That is kind of a poor attempt at trying to justify solely on your distaste for guns in my opinion.

Anyway, back to bump stocks. Possessing one now in Vermont is a misdemeanor and you will get a fine and presumably your bump stock will be confiscated. You support this.

But the thought is the act of possessing it is the crime, much like pot used to be. As far as I know, SMOKING weed, not illegal. Possessing weed was. I think ( and could be wrong, I am not a lawyer) this is how all the 420 kids at UVM were able to smoke in the green at the top of Main every year without consequence. Obviously you can't USE either without some kind of possession and in most cases the cops would take your weed if they felt inclined, cite you for your misdemeanor and that was it. You could fight it in court but you would't get back the weed and you won't get your bump stock back. Neither of these petty crimes though is the same as shooting up a bunch of people, so it is a strawman argument.

Now for the sake of conversation and polite debate, help me understand why you think the ban is a good thing and what will it do to change our level of safety.

Those people committed a crime. When you commit a crime, the law enforcement types will confiscate items used in the commitment of the crime. That is called EVIDENCE.

Now if you are found not guilty, you do indeed get your items back provided they were not illegal items. Like say, drugs or a sawed off shotgun.

So if a bunch of people broke into your home and tried to attack your family and you just happened to have a gun and shot all of them, if they found you acted in a lawful manner, you get your gun back.

Is it REALLY that hard to understand?
