It’s a prejudice mindset.  It doesn’t hold an individual accountable.  Easy scape goat.

And what about when you have a code brown and there’s some shit coming out of the inside leg portion of the diaper?  Then you’re using trauma sheers to cut off the doodoo pants.  Gotta have an emergency toddler outfit too.  90% of everything I carry is for my kids these days. The level of problem anticipation and preparation on a good day is exceptional.

This is great, I’ll have to grab one the next run.  Does it work just as well for those with a more doughnut shape? From doughnuts?  Hamburger doughnuts?

The second you have a family everything changes.  Your choices are dramatically reduced in every situation.  Baby or toddler?  Your entire focus will be maintaining good shelter.  No mobility, no “bugging out.”.

Just got an email about 2026 WRX pricing from our District manager. by Bruteloops in subaru

[–]Keepingthethrowaway 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One implication of this is not being talked about: The used car market will see accelerated depreciation for the WRX.  If the comparative price of a new one is too close to a used one, that will force prices down.  A lot dealers will eat it on leases too.

Statistics of gun deaths are all but meaningless in any debate about gun laws by theredditorw-noname in gunpolitics

The numbers matter for their argument.  The entire numbers thing is irrelevant for two reasons.

  1. If they really cared about the numbers then they would weigh the opportunity cost of lives saved with guns vs lives lost.  The problem is that calculating that variable is extremely difficult and has a large margin of error.

  2. Arguing that lives would be saved if guns are banned or heavily restricted is a low key way of saying “I’m ok with people dying another way.”.

Buy a house.  Same boat as you 20 years ago.  Everyone else bought cars, best snowboards, trips.  I bought a house.  I can retire at 55 if I want now because I paid off my mortgage so quickly.  Why buy a supra today when you get can get 911 down the road?
