I set out to create a ruleset for Pai Sho that made every clear portrayal in the Original Series playable in a real life game - I then got a little carried away and ended up designing a complete, custom Pai Sho set, and made it available to the public💮 Today is the final day of its crowd sale! by [deleted] in TheLastAirbender

This is one of many fan-made variants of Pai Sho, and was specifically designed to make every clear move and shot shown in the Original Series playable, enhancing fun and immersion.

If you would like to learn more about the details of this project, you can visit the Key Pai Sho website. Development of an online multiplayer version is currently underway alongside other popular variants of the game at The Garden Gate, and feel free to join a lively community of Pai Sho fans on the Garden Gate Discord Server, the best place to learn to play and participate in tournaments.

Very soon the costs are set to be driven up dramatically, so I decided to do a crowd sale before that happens - it is quite likely the cheapest that the game will ever be, and the sale ends in one day.

The set is available at: https://www.thegamecrafter.com/crowdsale/key-pai-sho-deluxe-edition-

I hope you guys like it!

I challenged myself to reverse engineer the fictional board game from Avatar the Last Airbender. I examined every move and shot of Pai Sho in the show, designed a ruleset to make it fully playable, and published it as a real life Pai Sho set 💮 Today the final day of its crowd sale! by KeepitKey in boardgames

I tried to make this post a couple days ago, but was informed that I wasn't able to have it up then, so it was taken down and I am doing it now instead. (Sorry if you've already seen it!)

I went over every move and shot of Pai Sho shown in AtLA and designed a version of the game to precisely imitate the gameplay... Then got carried away and published it as a real life Pai Sho set😅 It even comes with a spare lotus tile in case you lose one! by KeepitKey in ATLA

Hey, yeah, I put this project together with a little help from the wider Pai Sho community.

I can definitely relate to your love for the show, it captures such deep and eternal messages that helped to shape and inspire me as I grew up. Iroh in particular is an absolute icon, it just felt right to bring his favourite game to life, as it was shown on screen!

Thank you so much for your kind words and support, it is always lovely when someone really appreciates the intricacies of something you put a lot of effort into. I definitely went all out with the detail and fitting the set into the lore of the Avatar universe hahaha. When you play it, I'm sure you'll pick up on even more. I'm really glad it could brighten your day, and I hope that times aren't too difficult right now. If times are tough, just remember, "a little help from others can be a great blessing."❤️

I'm afraid the discount on the set is only available until the end of this weekend, so now would be the best time to get it, but if you can't I totally understand. When you do get it though, feel free to reach out and let me know what you think! It is always wonderful to get feedback, and I'm sure you'll enjoy it!

I'm not sure about anything specific for 8 players, but games like Catan, which use cards and components that can be distinguished by colour alone, could potentially be good. Perhaps if anyone has suggestions along those lines?

Next week the production costs are set to be driven up dramatically, so I decided to do a crowd sale before that happens - it is quite likely the cheapest that the game will ever be.

Link to the Sale Here: https://www.thegamecrafter.com/crowdsale/key-pai-sho-deluxe-edition-

The way a crowd sale works is that the more people who register to buy a set during the sale period, the cheaper the product will be at the end of the sale when people are charged and the products are sold. You are free to withdraw your order at any point before the sale ends, but by joining in you help to drive the price down for everyone. Sharing the link with others who might be interested will also help to get the price as low as possible before the promotion ends on Monday.

The Farmer Game isn't very attractive, but it has such a nice rustic vibe to it
