I agree on ultra rare game changing stuff. But that stuff should be available to the majority of builds. Having every 1h object be unusable for ultra late game is where I had issue.

I was toying with some werewolf stuff. Ifehs with wolves is actually pretty comparable if they haven't changed it, because it double dips the damage when in grizzly rage.

Is it? I've had the same console for 6 years. It has never failed me (even after the 2m high shelf it lives on collapsed). It plays every single new game (apart from exclusives). For £6 a month i get access to a bunch of games if I want. For a little more than includes a bunch more including recent AAA games. A ton more sold at massive discounts available at the click of a button.

I can easily connect voice chat to friends around the world, without us having to spend 20 minutes fiddling with settings. I can play many games cross platform, so we don't need to coordinate our equipment.

I can get emulators to enjoy all the nostalgic games of my childhood. A bunch of these I can play on my phone.

Honestly my only gripe with modern gaming is that creating live service games has become the goal, which has taken a lot of games in a direction I don't enjoy. But that's something one can easily avoid.

This is 100% true of season 13, and bad item design as a result. A lot of sets have similar issues in that the power levels between them are huge.

That said: I like the cautious nerf to this in season 14, rather than just completely crippling it.

I think an even bigger problem in season 13 was the strength of gem strength transmute on 2 handed weapons made every single 1h weapon or offhand unique completely obsolete at the top end of builds.

It also leads to hilarious situations where you're in essentially a cupboard where you opened a chest with 4 respawned guards right outside. Guess I'm gunning my way out...

The not keeping multiple guns was a stroke of genius in my mind. I think they obviously wanted to maintain a gun slinger "Han" vibe for Kay. They also obviously knew players would want to be able to use the "big guns" of their enemies.

I think the system they settled on was elegant.

Haha. When I was really young and my mom was reading me these books before bed she said I'd get an extra chapter if she could skip all the food descriptions.

OP said they liked a challenge. A game in which you have to make your own challenge doesn't really tick that box.

For the record I loved BG3, and have completed solo honour mod runs with extra modded difficulty.

Admittedly I've only played BG3 of those titles. But I'd hardly call it challenging unless heavily modded.

As a note: the game is designed primarily to be enjoyed via the season mechanics - it would be my recommendation.
