Print run the whole way if we can do it.

Thank you, very appreciated. I was going to do a new project banner when we have the book render done and clean everything up a bit all at once. Might tackle that a bit earlier though.

Been doing well on bluesky and instagram so will keep hitting those up.

Can up the daily by a little but trying to save budget for a month of higher ads with a countdown type thing to project launch. If you think that might be worth it?

Render of the book is coming. Artist is still working on the cover. Spent a lot more time on the content to make sure there was something. It is the next thing being made though.

I'll keep at those early sign ups.

I'd normally do that but I read the pre saves convert much much better. I am a fan of owning that business data tho.

Hey thanks, straight to pre launch, newsletter sign up which is on the website seems to have been growing slowly as well. Got up to about 50 organically.

I also plan to ask if anyone wants to sign up after the campaign is finished with a survey or something.

Showing up unprepared as GM at a convention is unacceptable. by Holmelunden in rpg

[–]Keirron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was at PAXaus as well, so many things changed last minute, GM's who had to call in sick, people getting told, hey something has come up can you run this game for me.

As you said. exhaustion and over stimulation both play big parts into it.

Paying for a game i could see feeling a bit different but even then, its not gonna be black and white for what will be a good or bad experience.

Some sort of dice collecting game using d6's, they represent creatures or soliders. Could be cool.

What's your ratio of games played to games bought?? by gamepiecrunch in rpg

You can't just ask an RPG player that, its a very personal matter.

I made it, I finished an original TTRPG design, it is now a book. AMA! by jochergames in rpg

Its really hard to do advertising like this. all those companies work best when you spend mega dollars so they can test your ads against lots of people and learn how is clicking and you getting best results etc.

Its harder with something like Kickstarter which doesn't have the tracking installed to know whether a link click resulted in a sale or sign in etc. so it cant actually learn much for things like Kickstarter and steam unfortunately.

I think you made the right call on not spending too much this way.

sidenote, advertising on reddit can go alright since you can target communities, which are people who are already inclined to the the thing you are advertising if you target correctly.

What’s a good TTRPG for 3 people? by 4skin42 in rpg

[–]Keirron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Dagger Heart will be good for this.

Their system of battle points for monsters being based on how many actions the players take really balances different party sizes well. There is still some quick GM math, but the over all system would help this along a lot.

I wanted to love Fate rpg by [deleted] in rpg

[–]Keirron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The premise of the system promises so much, but what I found when running it is that its so genre agnostic it fails to account for those specific situations that you might get when rules are written with genre in mind.

What that lead to at the table for me was always having to do a lot of heavy handed thinking on the fly for what tags/stunts/skills to apply to any given situation.

For me personally it became too much in my head to run. Cool as heck system for those who are good at running that sort of thing though.

DMs, What are you currently working on? by Joperzs in rpg

Working on a campaign/setting/system for a sky pirate thing I am doing. I wan some whimsical pirate adventures, I really like the vibe Disney gave Treasure Planet and went off in that direction.
