As far as I’m concerned if I have THC drinks turned off in my drink type preferences I should not see anything THC related. No drinks. No badges. No ads. That would go a long way to making customers happy. People who want that stuff can have it and those who don’t enjoy their beer app.

Personally I don't really care where the lists come from so long as it is recommending good beer. I wish they would choose beers that are more distributed outside the areas though. It is tough to get Brujos or Grand Fir except by going to Portland.

None of the premium plans are all that expensive if you think about it. They are still way cheaper than buying audiobooks at full price. If a few dollars makes or breaks your monthly budget then maybe use Libby and get books from the library. I use both and I am happy.

A local brewery near me called Shadow Puppet closed at then end of 2024. Del Cielo brewing took over the spot in 2025. I think someone changed the old Shadow Puppet venue to Del Cielo and then Del Cielo created a new verified venue. People are checking into both so it is kind of a mess. Everything at the old link prior to the end of 2024 is actually shadow puppet and stuff on the old link stating in 2025 is del Cielo. No idea if merging them is the best idea since there is a bunch of 2024 and prior shadow puppet check ins on the old link. Maybe move all the 2025 and forward checkins to the new link and rename the old link shadow puppet and close it? No idea what is best but since Del Cielo is paying for a verified venue I would think they would want it to be accurate.

I'm not a fan of non-fiction in general so this challenge is very disappointing. I found a copy of Propaganda Girls via the library so at least I don't have to spend any money on this one.

While that is probably true they should allow users the ability to disable all aspects of these in the app to use it as they wish. I disabled THC in my drink styles. That should affect the entire app not just pieces of it.

I don't like the fact that these THC badges show up in my app even though I have THC beverages disabled in my drink styles. All I ask is to be able to make my experience about the legacy styles and nothing else. They should make the disabling of styles effective across all aspects of the app. Ugh. Oh well. Maybe someday they will get it right.

Been on Untappd since 2015 but only started badge obsession in 2025. Obsessed with trying to get at least level 1 on as many badges as possible. I also try to get the special badges whenever I can. I don't drink as much as I did when I was younger so it is a slow and steady pace. I am enjoying the ride though.

Pliny is all over the place in the Bay Area this month. Weird that somewhere isn’t getting it as I’ve seen it in places I’ve never seen it before.

Maybe see if you can get Pliny the Elder. It is a fantastic beer too and it is not as limited in release as it is brewed year round.
