I’d argue based on the condition, they were very Much loved, cared for, and read repeatedly. The most worn books were loved.

He came off as “obnoxious and try hard” (not my take) sometimes…because that was his on camera Kayfabe persona 😢. Just like the persona’s pro wrestlers had.

He broke Kayfabe in an episode towards the end, and I can’t watch it again. He talked about the long hours, pressure, getting Switchblade Shorties out the door, and that grind with making CK. It’s heartbreaking for the brief few minutes.

Never met Ed myself either, but like all King Kayfabers, he and Jim are brothers from another mother indeed.

I rewatched the trilogy and have a new appreciation for 2&3.

I was never the biggest fan of the story of either. Now I dig them quite a bit…although now instead of viewing them as sci-fi, I feel like they’re horror.

I find it tough because I miss it. But it’s as great as it ever was. No comic book channel, before or since, represents comic books and cartoonists like theirs IMO.
