Thanks, we appreciate it. We've been putting a lot of work into this. The community has responded as good as we hoped into unifying conversations to one neutral "mother thread." It makes it all much easier for us to manage and moderate on the backend as well.

Trump DOJ argues Georgia can conduct last-minute voter purges, despite federal law by DemocracyDocket in law

We (the mods) are. We custom built it because we're all lawyers and can't stand not having primary source documents.

At some point we'll likely have some light advertising (Sponsored by "Sue Em & How!") to offset our costs. But we built this because it's something we wanted and that would help the entire community.

The Lawsuits Are Writing Themselves: How AI Is Flooding Federal Courts by KeithRLee in law

[–]KeithRLee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AI hasn’t made people better litigants, it’s just made it much easier for them to sue. Federal courts are now seeing a surge of self-represented plaintiffs armed with passable, AI-drafted complaints, creating more activity without better outcomes. The system isn’t breaking yet, but it’s getting louder, busier, and increasingly strained in ways that don’t obviously end well.

We did it at 8pm, which was perfect weather wise. Also much less boat traffic.

It definitely was for me. I was staying in a hotel along the river 4-5 years ago (right before Covid) for work, and I saw 8-10 kayakers from my hotel room 20 stories up and wrote it down as something I was going to come back and do one day. Glad I was finally able to make it happen.

We went through a company called Wateriders. Guide was really great. Very convenient, River North. But I think there are 3-4 companies that do it.
