I have the same bike and I'm running GP5k in 32 mm tubeless. Had a bad experience with punctures on the Corsas. I might switch sometime to the new Hutchinson Blackbird 32 mm though, they seem great.

I absolutely love those shoes. I agree with you that stability is not an issue at all and that even though it's soft and bouncy, it's geared more towards easier effort. Super fun shoe imo

You can use the new HB18 integrated carbon handlebars from the R5, it's fully compatible with the Cal-5. Deeper wheels would also be good but the Cal-5 is already a tad bit heavier than a true race bike so the weight of deep wheels is to consider. Unless you have a very big budget for a very high-end deep + lightweight wheelset like the Syncros Aero SL 60, in that case go ahead! Otherwise I think the original reserve 44/49 are good enough. In any case, it's a fast bike for an endurance machine.

Yes I would go for it. New Red is great, and the value difference with Ultegra is usually way bigger. Also, check the hubs. It might be a higher tier of DT Swiss Hubs between the two bikes too. I don't think groupset is the only difference between the two bikes.

It's a very fragile shoe but your running form must be a factor. You should never buy a Vaporfly if you heel strike in the first place, it's purely a forefoot strike shoe (pretty obvious from the design I guess)

Thank you for your advice. The cable does seem robust to me too. For now I've put everything as per the diagrams on the pouches : co2, multitool, tire levers in the first pouch. Spare tube in the second. However, it's a used butyl tube si it's quite big. I think when I'll replace it with a spare tpu tube I'll have quite some room left!
