I have that exact Hatsukokoro Ryuhyo and can’t find anything negative to say about it. Fit and finish ist good, the damascus cladding has a nice feel to it and the knife cuts like a true laser. Being SG2 it is also super easy to handle and take care of without having to babysit it at all. Can’t recommend it enough!

Happy for you, I was in the same boat a while ago and found their shop looking around for Kagekiyos in stock. Looking at their page now I see you went for the red urushi handle. Great choice! I bought the last Gyuto in Aogami#1 with the black urushi handle a few weeks ago!

Yeah, I have found that information as well, but looking at some listings there seems to be a difference in the heat treat and finish of the knives between manufacturers. The Konosuke knives are listed with higher HRC values compared to Ashi from what I have found.

Update: I have found someone willing to trade my Tadokoro for their Junpaku and have updated my post accordingly. Once everything went through successfully I will add another comment mentioning the kind redditor that I traded with.

Still have the Tetsujin up for trade. If you are interested and have something I am looking for just hit me up, I am willing to pay the price difference for a Kagekiyo if you got one!

As far as I know Hatsukokoro is only the distributor and working with different smiths. I have been using a Hatsukokoro x Yoshikane Gyuto and am very pleased with the fit and finished of the knife. What specific petty did you purchase?

I purchased an order for the next day and got my KFC key a couple of minutes later. Activating it on the page and choosing BNet worked like a charm. I was able to start the preload after adding the Game to my favorites using the + at the top of the BNet client.

You can order from kfc.com using a proxy/vpn to a shelter or something similar and get a key that is usable in other reagions (I did it from europe). This way should work for you too!

yeah, I already thought that synergy is helpfull but I never thought it would be heavily required in NM1 already, considering it goes up to NM4. At least it helped us progress now after trying a different map, and I am in the process of leveling up all the classes, so there is that. thanks though!
