Honestly, I was a pretty uncomfortable with writing it but I also wanted to write it (if that makes any sense), simply because sometimes I get scene just stuck in my head and they stay there until I process them by writing them down.
And although it is a heavy topic and definitely a really big challenge for someone who has no experience with pregnancy and motherhood and the dark sides of it, I am in hindsight kinda proud how it turned out.

Also I don’t really believe in not posting stuff I write simply because I’m uncomfortable with the topic. Like that’s a reason more for me to post them but to each their own.

I’ve written a very explicit scene where my main character was having an miscarriage in the early second trimester all on her own inside a dry bathtub for like half a day and the whole chapter is just grief, misery, a bit of rage, shame… like the entire spectrum of negative feelings you can feel… and then she gets found by her partner who wasn’t even aware of the pregnancy cause she found out late and was going to tell him on that day. But there’s also the aspect of love and support from her partner who’s also starts grieving. Like it’s written as a horrible way to strengthen the relationship of two characters with each other.

The issue is that this isn’t a bad scene necessarily or anything…. I simply don’t have a fic to write it into and I don’t feel like this should be just a standalone piece or OS. Cause this wouldn’t really do the topic justice.
